You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

You nest of poisonous snakes! How can you who are evil say anything good? Your mouths say everything that is in your hearts.

You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.

The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

As it is written:“ There is none righteous, no, not one;There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God.They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”“ Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”;“ The poison of asps is under their lips”;“ Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

For the foolish person will speak foolishness, And his heart will work iniquity: To practice ungodliness, To utter error against the Lord, To keep the hungry unsatisfied, And he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

Who plan evil things in their hearts; They continually gather together for war.They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; The poison of asps is under their lips. Selah

Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?

No one calls for justice, Nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity.

Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips And from a deceitful tongue.What shall be given to you, Or what shall be done to you, You false tongue?Sharp arrows of the warrior, With coals of the broom tree!

Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.You love evil more than good, Lying rather than speaking righteousness.
