“你们种好树就结好果子，种坏树就结坏果子；凭着果子就能认出树来。

“你们让一棵树好，它的果子就好；你们让一棵树坏，它的果子就坏；这样，一棵树是凭着果子被认出来。

「你們或以為樹好，果子也好；樹壞，果子也壞；因為看果子就可以知道樹。

或以樹善、其果亦善、樹惡、其果亦惡、蓋由果而識樹矣、

果善、則謂其樹善、果惡、則謂其樹惡、蓋由果而識樹矣、

爾或以樹為善、其果亦善、或以樹為惡、其果亦惡、蓋觀果而知樹矣、

若云菓美、則樹亦美；若云樹惡、則菓亦惡。樹之美惡、因菓而知也。

岂能在荆棘上摘葡萄呢？岂能在蒺藜里摘无花果呢？凭着他们的果子，就可以认出他们来。这样，凡好树都结好果子，而坏树结坏果子。好树不能结坏果子，坏树也不能结好果子。凡不结好果子的树就砍下来，丢在火里。所以，凭着他们的果子就可以认出他们来。”

要亲近上帝，上帝就必亲近你们。有罪的人哪，要洁净你们的手！心怀二意的人哪，要清洁你们的心！

要恨恶邪恶，喜爱良善，在城门口秉公行义；或者耶和华—万军之上帝会施恩给约瑟的余民。

你们要把所犯的一切罪过尽行抛弃，为自己造一个新的心和新的灵。以色列家啊，你们为什么要死呢？

主对他说：“如今你们法利赛人洗净杯盘的外面，你们里面却满了贪婪和邪恶。无知的人哪！造外面的，不也造了里面吗？

你们要结出果子来，和悔改的心相称。不要自己心里说：‘我们有亚伯拉罕为祖宗。’我告诉你们，上帝能从这些石头中给亚伯拉罕兴起子孙来。现在斧子已经放在树根上，凡不结好果子的树就砍下来，丢在火里。

你这瞎眼的法利赛人，先洗净杯子的里面，好使外面也干净了。

你们要常在我里面，我也常在你们里面。枝子若不常在葡萄树上，自己就不能结果子；你们若不常在我里面，也是这样。我就是葡萄树，你们是枝子。常在我里面的，我也常在他里面，这人就多结果子，因为离了我，你们就不能做什么。人若不常在我里面，就像枝子被丢在外面，枯干了，人捡起来，扔进火里烧了。你们若常在我里面，我的话也常在你们里面，凡你们想要的，祈求，就给你们成全。

我的弟兄们，无花果树能生橄榄吗？葡萄树能结无花果吗？咸水也不能流出甜水来。

现在斧子已经放在树根上，凡不结好果子的树就砍下来，丢在火里。”
