『你們要認清，或是說樹好，而它的果子也好；或是說樹壞，而它的果子也壞：樹是由果子而被認識的。

“你们或以为树好，果子也好；树坏，果子也坏；因为看果子就可以知道树。

“你们知道树好，果子也好；又知道树坏，果子也坏；因为看果子就可以知道树。

“你们知道树好，果子也好；又知道树坏，果子也坏；因为看果子就可以知道树。

“好树结好果子，坏树结坏果子，看果子就能知道树的好坏。

“你们种好树就结好果子，种坏树就结坏果子；凭着果子就能认出树来。

“你们让一棵树好，它的果子就好；你们让一棵树坏，它的果子就坏；这样，一棵树是凭着果子被认出来。

「你們或以為樹好，果子也好；樹壞，果子也壞；因為看果子就可以知道樹。

果善、則謂其樹善、果惡、則謂其樹惡、蓋由果而識樹矣、

爾或以樹為善、其果亦善、或以樹為惡、其果亦惡、蓋觀果而知樹矣、

若云菓美、則樹亦美；若云樹惡、則菓亦惡。樹之美惡、因菓而知也。

『沒有好樹結壞果子的，也沒有壞樹結好果子的。每一棵樹都是由自己的果子而被認識的。人不是由荊棘裏去收取無花果，也不是由草刺裏去收採葡萄。

從他們的果子，就可以認出來。荊棘裏哪能收取葡萄呢？蒺藜裏哪能收取無花果呢？照樣子，凡是好樹都結好果子，而壞樹卻結惡果子。好樹不能生惡果子，壞樹也不能生好果子。凡不結好果子的樹都被砍下來，丟在火裏。所以從他們的果子，就可以認出來。

你們親近上帝，上帝就親近你們。罪人哪，潔淨你們的手吧；心懷二意的人哪，使你們的心清潔吧。

要恨惡壞事，要喜愛良善，在城門口確立着公義，或者永恆主萬軍之上帝會向約瑟的餘民施恩。

你們將所犯得罪了我的一切罪過盡行拋棄吧！為自己作成個新的心新的靈吧！何必死亡呢，以色列家啊？

主對他說：『杯盤的外面、你們法利賽人固然潔淨了，但你們裏面呢、卻滿了勒索和邪惡！糊塗人哪，那造外面的、不也造裏面麼？

結出與悔改相應的果子來吧！不要自己心裏想着說：「我們有亞伯拉罕是我們的祖宗。」我告訴你們，上帝能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來！現在呢、斧子已經放在樹根上了；凡不結好果子的樹都要被砍下來，丟在火裏。

瞎眼的法利賽人哪，先潔淨杯盤的裏面吧，好使外面也可以潔淨。

你們要住在我裏面，我就住在你們裏面。正如枝子、若不連在葡萄樹上，憑着自己是不能結果子的；你們若不住在我裏面，也是這樣。我是葡萄樹，你們是枝子。住在我裏面、而我住在他裏面的、這種人才能多結果子；因為離了我、你們就不能作甚麼。人若不住在我裏面，便像枝子扔在外面、枯乾了；人收集起來，扔在火裏，就燒掉了。你們若住在我裏面，而我的話又存在你們裏面，凡你們所願意的、求，就給你們作成；

我的弟兄們，無花果樹哪能結橄欖呢？葡萄樹哪能結無花果呢？鹹水也不能發出甜水來啊！

就是現在、斧子也已放在樹根上了；所以凡不結好果子的樹都要砍下來，丟在火裏。』
