“你們種好樹就結好果子，種壞樹就結壞果子；憑著果子就能認出樹來。

“你们或以为树好，果子也好；树坏，果子也坏；因为看果子就可以知道树。

“你们知道树好，果子也好；又知道树坏，果子也坏；因为看果子就可以知道树。

“好树结好果子，坏树结坏果子，看果子就能知道树的好坏。

“你们种好树就结好果子，种坏树就结坏果子；凭着果子就能认出树来。

“你们让一棵树好，它的果子就好；你们让一棵树坏，它的果子就坏；这样，一棵树是凭着果子被认出来。

「你們或以為樹好，果子也好；樹壞，果子也壞；因為看果子就可以知道樹。

或以樹善、其果亦善、樹惡、其果亦惡、蓋由果而識樹矣、

果善、則謂其樹善、果惡、則謂其樹惡、蓋由果而識樹矣、

爾或以樹為善、其果亦善、或以樹為惡、其果亦惡、蓋觀果而知樹矣、

若云菓美、則樹亦美；若云樹惡、則菓亦惡。樹之美惡、因菓而知也。

憑著他們的果子就可以認出他們來：荊棘裡怎能摘到葡萄？蒺藜裡怎能摘到無花果呢？照樣，好樹結好果子，壞樹結壞果子；好樹不能結壞果子，壞樹也不能結好果子。凡是不結好果子的樹，就被砍下來，丟在火中。因此你們憑著他們的果子就可以認出他們來。

你們應當親近神，神就親近你們。罪人啊，要潔淨你們的手；三心兩意的人哪，要清潔你們的心。

你們要喜愛良善，恨惡邪惡，在城門口伸張正義；這樣，耶和華萬軍的神或會恩待約瑟的餘民。

你們要把你們所犯的一切罪過棄掉，為自己造一個新的心和新的靈。以色列家啊，你們為甚麼要滅亡呢？

主對他說：“你們法利賽人把杯盤的外面洗淨，但你們裡面卻充滿了搶奪和邪惡。無知的人哪，那造外面的，不也造裡面嗎？

應當結出果子來，與悔改的心相稱。你們心裡不要以為：‘我們有亞伯拉罕作我們的祖宗。’我告訴你們，神能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起後裔來。現在斧頭已經放在樹根上，所有不結好果子的樹，就砍下來，丟在火裡。

瞎眼的法利賽人哪，先把杯和盤的裡面洗淨，好使外面也可以乾淨。

你們要住在我裡面，我也就住在你們裡面。枝子若不連在葡萄樹上，自己就不能結果子；你們若不住在我裡面，也是這樣。我是葡萄樹，你們是枝子。住在我裡面的，我也住在他裡面，他就結出很多果子；因為離開了我，你們就不能作甚麼。人若不住在我裡面，就像枝子丟在外面枯乾了，人把它們拾起來，丟在火裡燒掉了。你們若住在我裡面，我的話也留在你們裡面；無論你們想要甚麼，祈求，就給你們成就。

我的弟兄們，無花果樹能結橄欖嗎？葡萄樹能長無花果嗎？鹹水也不能發出甜水來。

現在斧頭已經放在樹根上，所有不結好果子的樹，就砍下來，丟在火裡。”
