“好树结好果子，坏树结坏果子，看果子就能知道树的好坏。

“你们或以为树好，果子也好；树坏，果子也坏；因为看果子就可以知道树。

若云菓美、則樹亦美；若云樹惡、則菓亦惡。樹之美惡、因菓而知也。

你们亲近上帝，上帝就必亲近你们。有罪的人啊，洗净你们的手吧！三心二意的人啊，洁净你们的心吧！

你们要恨恶邪恶，喜爱良善，在城门口伸张正义，也许万军之上帝耶和华会恩待约瑟的余民。

你们要离弃从前所有的罪恶，洗心革面。以色列人啊！你们何必走向灭亡呢？’

主对他说：“你们法利赛人洗净杯盘的外面，你们里面却充满了贪婪和邪恶。愚蠢的人啊，人里外不都是上帝所创造的吗？

你们要结出与悔改相称的果子。不要心里说，‘我们是亚伯拉罕的子孙。’我告诉你们，上帝可以从这些石头中兴起亚伯拉罕的子孙。现在斧头已经放在树根上了，不结好果子的树都要被砍下，丢在火里。

瞎眼的法利赛人啊！要先洗净杯盘的里面，好让外面也干净。

你们要常在我里面，我就常在你们里面。枝子若离开葡萄树，就不能结果子。同样，你们若不常在我里面，也不能结果子。“我是葡萄树，你们是枝子。常在我里面的，我也常在他里面，他就会多结果子，因为你们离开了我什么都不能做。不常在我里面的人就像丢在外面枯干的枝子，最后只有被人拾起来丢在火里烧掉。如果你们常在我里面，我的话也常在你们里面，无论你们求什么，都会得到应允。

我的弟兄姊妹，无花果树能结出橄榄吗？葡萄树能结出无花果吗？一个咸水泉必流不出甜水来。

现在斧头已经放在树根上了，不结好果子的树都要被砍下丢在火里。”
