『強壯者披掛齊全，看守自己的院子時，他的資財就安全無事；但有一個比他強壯的突然而來、勝過他，就將他所倚靠的器械奪去，又分他的身上物了。

勇士拿去的、哪能拿回？強橫人擄掠的、哪能搭救過來？

那一千年完了，撒但就會被釋放、出了監牢。他必出來，迷惑全地四角的列國、就是歌革和瑪各，聚集他們去赴戰；他們的數目像海沙。他們上來，佈滿了廣袤大地，圍住了聖徒的營和那蒙愛的城。就有火從天上降下來燒滅他們。

故此我必將許多人分給他做業分，他必分得強盛的為擄掠物，因為他將自己傾倒至死；他被數算跟罪犯同列，卻是他擔當了許多人的罪，又為罪犯們代求。

我看見有一位天使從天上降下來，手裏執有無底坑的鑰匙和一條大鍊子。他捉住了那龍、那古蛇、就是魔鬼、撒但，把他捆綁了一千年，丟在無底坑裏，關起來，又在他上邊蓋印封着，使他不能再迷惑列國，等到那一千年完了。此後必須暫時被釋放。

在天上就有戰爭。米迦勒和他的使者對龍爭戰；龍和他的使者也來爭戰。他們不能得勝，在天上再也找不着他們的地位了。於是大龍被摔下：大龍就是古蛇，叫魔鬼又叫撒但的，就是那迷惑普天下的。他被摔在地上，他的使者也同他被摔下。我就聽見有大聲音在天上說：『我們的上帝的拯救、權能、國度、和他所膏立的基督的權柄、現在已經成立了。因為那控告我們弟兄的、那晝夜在我們的上帝面前控告他們的、已被摔下了。

犯罪的乃是出於魔鬼，因為魔鬼從起初就犯罪。上帝的兒子顯現出來，就是要毁滅魔鬼的作為。
