時有挈一中魔者至、瞽且瘖、

Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.

A man controlled by demons was brought to Jesus. The man was blind and could not speak. Jesus healed him. Then the man could speak and see.

Then a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw.

In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly.Then He commanded them that they should tell no one; but the more He commanded them, the more widely they proclaimed it.And they were astonished beyond measure, saying,“ He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.”

to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried out, saying,“ You are the Son of God.”

Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.

As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed.And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying,“ It was never seen like this in Israel!”But the Pharisees said,“ He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons.”

O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.

The eyes of those who see will not be dim, And the ears of those who hear will listen.Also the heart of the rash will understand knowledge, And the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly.

Then one of the crowd answered and said,“ Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit.And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.”He answered him and said,“ O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.”Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth.So He asked his father,“ How long has this been happening to him?” And he said,“ From childhood.And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”Jesus said to him,“ If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears,“ Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,“ Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said,“ He is dead.”
