Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.

A man controlled by demons was brought to Jesus. The man was blind and could not speak. Jesus healed him. Then the man could speak and see.

Then a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw.

Now he was casting out a demon that was mute. When the demon had gone out, the man who had been mute began to speak, and the crowds were amazed.But some of them said,“ By the power of Beelzebul, the ruler of demons, he casts out demons.”

At that time the deaf will be able to hear words read from a scroll, and the eyes of the blind will be able to see through deep darkness.

And immediately the man’s ears were opened, his tongue loosened, and he spoke plainly.Jesus ordered them not to tell anything. But as much as he ordered them not to do this, they proclaimed it all the more.People were completely astounded and said,“ He has done everything well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

to open their eyes so that they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out,“ You are the Son of God.”

So a report about him spread throughout Syria. People brought to him all who suffered with various illnesses and afflictions, those who had seizures, paralytics, and those possessed by demons, and he healed them.

Then blind eyes will open, deaf ears will hear.Then the lame will leap like a deer, the mute tongue will shout for joy; for water will flow in the desert, streams in the wilderness.

As they were going away, a man who could not talk and was demon- possessed was brought to him.After the demon was cast out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowds were amazed and said,“ Never has anything like this been seen in Israel!”But the Pharisees said,“ By the ruler of demons he casts out demons.”

O Lord, give me the words! Then my mouth will praise you.

Eyes will no longer be blind and ears will be attentive.The mind that acts rashly will possess discernment and the tongue that stutters will speak with ease and clarity.

A member of the crowd said to him,“ Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that makes him mute.Whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to cast it out, but they were not able to do so.”He answered them,“ You unbelieving generation! How much longer must I be with you? How much longer must I endure you? Bring him to me.”So they brought the boy to him. When the spirit saw him, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell on the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.Jesus asked his father,“ How long has this been happening to him?” And he said,“ From childhood.It has often thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if you are able to do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”Then Jesus said to him,“‘ If you are able?’ All things are possible for the one who believes.”Immediately the father of the boy cried out and said,“ I believe; help my unbelief!”Now when Jesus saw that a crowd was quickly gathering, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,“ Mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”It shrieked, threw him into terrible convulsions, and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said,“ He is dead!”
