Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.

A man controlled by demons was brought to Jesus. The man was blind and could not speak. Jesus healed him. Then the man could speak and see.

耳應聲而啟、舌結亦解、發音清晰。耶穌戒勿告人、詎愈戒而愈揚。眾皆不勝嘆異曰、『是其所為、靡有不善；直使聾者聰、而瘖者言矣。』

欲汝啟眾民萬邦之目、使自黑暗轉向光明、脫沙殫之掌握而歸依天主、俾以信予之故、而獲罪赦、與一切因信成聖者同嗣洪基。」

邪魔一見耶穌、率皆伏地呼曰：『汝天主子也！』

聲名洋溢乎敘利亞。凡舁染恙、患病、負痛、中魔、顛癇、癱痿者至前、悉救治之。

二人甫出、復有攜一中魔而瘖者至前；魔見逐、瘖者言。眾皆驚異曰：『義塞國中、從未睹此。』惟法利塞人則曰：『彼藉魔王驅眾魔。』

會當指示。迷途諸人。回心轉意。歸與主親。汚哉我手。血腥猶存。

一人對曰：『夫子、吾適攜一子來謁。此子患瘖魔、祟、隨在傾跌、流涎切齒、形容枯槁。曾央爾門徒祛之、而不能也。』耶穌喟然嘆曰：『無信之世代乎！我之偕爾、當至何時？我之忍爾、當至何時？且攜汝子前來。』比至、一見耶穌、魔即拘攣其人、其人仆地、輾轉吐沫。耶穌問其父曰：『患此已幾時？』曰：『自幼已然。魔屢投之水火、欲致斃焉。倘爾能為力、請憫而助我。』耶穌曰：『倘爾能信、於信者萬事皆可能也。』厥父垂淚而號曰：『主、我信也！求主濟我之無信也。』耶穌見眾趨集、斥邪魔曰：『聾瘖之鬼、予命爾離其身、毋得再入。』魔呼號、力予拘攣而出。孩似氣絕、人多謂其已死。
