Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.

A man controlled by demons was brought to Jesus. The man was blind and could not speak. Jesus healed him. Then the man could speak and see.

Immediately his ears were opened, his speech difficulty was removed, and he began to speak clearly.Then He ordered them to tell no one, but the more He would order them, the more they would proclaim it.They were extremely astonished and said,“ He has done everything well! He even makes deaf people hear, and people unable to speak, talk!”

to open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that by faith in Me they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified.’

Whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, those possessed fell down before Him and cried out,“ You are the Son of God!”

Then the news about Him spread throughout Syria. So they brought to Him all those who were afflicted, those suffering from various diseases and intense pains, the demon-possessed, the epileptics, and the paralytics. And He healed them.

Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped.Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing for joy, for water will gush in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;

Just as they were going out, a demon-possessed man who was unable to speak was brought to Him.When the demon had been driven out, the man spoke. And the crowds were amazed, saying,“ Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”But the Pharisees said,“ He drives out demons by the ruler of the demons!”

Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise.

Then the eyes of those who see will not be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.The reckless mind will gain knowledge, and the stammering tongue will speak clearly and fluently.

Out of the crowd, one man answered Him,“ Teacher, I brought my son to You. He has a spirit that makes him unable to speak.Wherever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I asked Your disciples to drive it out, but they couldn’t.”He replied to them,“ You unbelieving generation! How long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him to Me.”So they brought him to Him. When the spirit saw Him, it immediately convulsed the boy. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.“ How long has this been happening to him?” Jesus asked his father.“ From childhood,” he said.“ And many times it has thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”Then Jesus said to him,“‘ If You can’? Everything is possible to the one who believes.”Immediately the father of the boy cried out,“ I do believe! Help my unbelief.”When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly coming together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,“ You mute and deaf spirit, I command you: come out of him and never enter him again!”Then it came out, shrieking and convulsing him violently. The boy became like a corpse, so that many said,“ He’s dead.”
