法利塞人見之、謂耶穌曰：『盍觀爾徒擅犯禮日禁例。』

When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him,“ Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”

The Pharisees saw this. They said to Jesus,“ Look! It is against the Law to do this on the Sabbath day. But your disciples are doing it anyway!”

But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him,“ Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.”

But some Pharisees saw them do it and protested,“ Look, your disciples are breaking the law by harvesting grain on the Sabbath.”

When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him,“ See, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.”

Now when the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him,“ Look, Your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath!”

適有枯一手者在焉。或試耶穌曰：『禮日可治病乎？』將欲假端以攻之。

耶穌曰：『予曩在禮日行一靈蹟、爾曹咸以為怪。昔摩西承祖宗餘緒、授爾以割禮、爾乃以禮日予人以損割、夫禮日予人以損割、且不違摩西律法、則予在禮日令人全復、爾乃悻悻嗔予耶？爾為判斷、勿拘外表、宜據正義。』

耶穌乃詰經生及法利塞人曰：『禮日治病宜乎？否乎？』眾皆嘿然。

眾屏息視耶穌、欲覘其禮日亦治之否、意在假端以訟其罪。耶穌謂痺手者曰：『起立堂中。』復問眾曰：『禮日當行善乎？抑作惡乎？救生乎？抑戕生乎？』眾皆嘿然不答。耶穌怒視周眾、哀其心之麻木不仁。顧謂痺手者曰：『伸爾手。』伸之手立愈。

乃置備香料香膏；禮日、循例休息。

猶太人以耶穌禮日行此、群起而攻之。耶穌謂之曰：『吾父健行、以至於今、予亦自強不息。』

禮日、耶穌施訓會堂中、適有一婦為魔所困、傴僂不能伸者、已一十有八年矣。耶穌見而呼之曰：『婦人、爾病脫矣。』遂撫以手；婦立即伸舒自如、而頌天主之德。顧會董以耶穌禮日治病、憾之、乃告眾曰：『六日之中、儘可工作、爾來就醫可也。毋在安息之日為之。』主應之曰：『虛偽之人、爾中誰有禮日不解牛驢出廄、而引之飲水乎？今此婦乃亞伯漢之女、為魔所困者、已十八年於茲矣。孰云安息之日、不宜釋其所縛乎？』耶穌言時、諸仇慚恧、而眾人則因其所行非凡之事、而為之歡欣鼓舞。

又一安息日、耶穌入會堂施訓、有一枯右手者在焉。經生法利塞輩、共窺耶穌禮日亦施醫否、將欲借端以攻之。耶穌燭其意、乃謂枯手者曰：『起立眾前！』即起立。耶穌乃謂若輩曰：『試問禮日宜行善乎？抑作惡乎？宜救生乎？抑害命乎？』環視坐眾、而諭其人曰：『伸汝手！』伸之、手果全復。法利塞人憤怒填膺、共謀所以處耶穌。

耶穌調泥啟目之日、固安息日也。法利塞人因再三盤詰、其如何得明。對曰：『彼敷泥於吾目、吾洗之而遂能見矣。』法利塞人中有曰：『此人不守安息日、決非自天主來者。』或曰：『罪人焉能行此靈蹟？』彼此頗持異同。

其人立愈、負榻行。是日適值禮日。猶太人謂痊者曰：『禮日不當負榻。』對曰：『療我者命我負榻行。』
