會堂裡有一個人，他的一隻手枯乾了。有人問耶穌：“在安息日治病，可以嗎？”目的是要控告耶穌。

堂內有枯一手者、或問之曰、安息日施醫可否、意欲得故以罪之、

適有枯一手者在焉。或試耶穌曰：『禮日可治病乎？』將欲假端以攻之。

and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus, they asked him,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

A man with a weak and twisted hand was there. The Pharisees were trying to accuse Jesus of a crime. So they asked him,“ Does the Law allow us to heal on the Sabbath day?”

And a man was there with a withered hand. And they asked him,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”— so that they might accuse him.

where he noticed a man with a deformed hand. The Pharisees asked Jesus,“ Does the law permit a person to work by healing on the Sabbath?”( They were hoping he would say yes, so they could bring charges against him.)

There he saw a man who had a shriveled hand, and in order to accuse him they asked him,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

And a man was there whose hand was withered. And they questioned Jesus, asking,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”— so that they might bring charges against Him.

And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”— that they might accuse Him.

and behold, a man having a withered hand. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day? that they might accuse him.

There He saw a man who had a paralyzed hand. And in order to accuse Him they asked Him,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

And, behold, there was a man which had[ his] hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.

A man was there who had a withered hand. And they asked Jesus,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” so that they could accuse him.

And behold there was a man with a withered hand. They asked him,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?” that they might accuse him.

會堂的主管，因為耶穌在安息日治病，就氣忿忿地對群眾說：“有六天是應當作工的，你們可以在這六天裡來求醫，但在安息日卻不可以。”

有幾個法利賽人說：“那個人不是從神那裡來的，因為他不守安息日。”另外有些人說：“一個罪人怎能行這樣的神蹟呢？”他們就起了紛爭。

請把你的意見告訴我們，納稅給凱撒，可不可以呢？”耶穌看出他們的惡意，就說：“虛偽的人，為甚麼試探我呢？

因此猶太人對那醫好了的人說：“今天是安息日，你拿著褥子是不可以的。”

他們說這話是要試探耶穌，要找把柄來控告他。耶穌卻彎下身，用指頭在地上寫字。

等機會從他的口中找把柄。

“那丟棄羊群的無用牧人有禍了！願刀劍落在他的膀臂和他的右眼上；願他的膀臂全然枯槁，願他的右眼完全失明！”

耶羅波安王聽見神人向伯特利的祭壇喊叫的話，就從祭壇上伸手，說：“抓住他！”王向他伸出的手卻癱瘓了，不能縮回來。祭壇也破裂了，灰從祭壇上傾撒下來，好像神人奉耶和華的命令所提出的預兆一樣。王對神人說：“求你為我向耶和華你的神求情，又為我禱告，使我的手復原。”於是神人向耶和華求情，王的手就復了原，像起先一樣。

法利賽人看見了，就對他說：“你看，你的門徒作了安息日不可作的事。”

控告他說：“我們查出這個人煽惑我們的同胞，阻止納稅給凱撒，並且自稱是基督，是王。”

沒有人按公義求告，沒有人憑誠實爭辯；他們都倚靠虛無，說虛謊的話；所懷的是毒害，所生的是罪孽。

另一個安息日，耶穌進入會堂教導人，在那裡有一個人，右手枯乾，經學家和法利賽人要看他會不會在安息日治病，好找把柄控告他。

在那裡躺著許多病人，有瞎眼的、瘸腿的和癱瘓的。（有些抄本有以下一段：“他們等候水動，

就是悖逆、否認耶和華，轉去不跟從我們的神，說欺壓和背道的話，心裡懷著謊言，隨即說出來；

我們納稅給凱撒可以不可以？”

對他們說：“你們把這人押到我這裡來，說他煽惑群眾，我已經在你們面前審訊過，在他身上一點也找不到你們控告他的罪狀，

耶穌對律法師和法利賽人說：“在安息日治病，可以不可以呢？”他們卻不出聲。耶穌扶著病人，治好他，叫他走了，就對他們說：“你們中間誰的兒子或牛在安息日掉在井裡，不立刻把他拉上來呢？”他們不能回答這些話。

因為愚頑人說的是愚頑話，他心裡所想的是罪孽，慣行褻瀆神的事，說錯謬的話攻擊耶和華，使飢餓的人仍空著肚子，使口渴的人仍無水可喝。

法利賽人前來試探耶穌，說：“人根據某些理由休妻，可以嗎？”
