抑爾出何觀耶、衣毳衣者乎、衣毳衣者、在王宮也、

爾出欲何觀耶、人衣美服乎、夫衣美服者、在王宮也、

爾出、欲何觀耶、觀人衣美服乎、夫衣美服者、在王宮也、

出視何物？將袞衣繡裳者乎？袞衣繡裳者、惟居王宮。

直到如今，我們還是又飢又渴，又赤身露體，又挨打，又到處漂泊，

那時，耶和華吩咐亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞說：「你去解掉你腰間的麻布，脫下你腳上的鞋。」以賽亞就這樣做，赤身赤腳行走。

我勞碌困苦，常常失眠，又飢又渴，忍飢耐寒，赤身露體。

「我要賜權柄給我那兩個見證人，穿着粗麻衣說預言一千二百六十天。」

這約翰身穿駱駝毛的衣服，腰束皮帶，吃的是蝗蟲和野蜜。

那日，凡作先知說預言的必因所論的異象羞愧，不再穿毛皮外袍哄騙人。

他們對王說：「這人身穿毛衣，腰束皮帶。」王說：「他一定是提斯比人以利亞。」
