是故聽道宜慎、蓋有者、將與之、無者、即其所自以為有、將奪之、○

斯時耶路撒冷、猶太、及約但四方咸出、

約翰施洗、由天乎、由人乎、眾竊議曰、若云由天、彼必曰、曷不信之、

乃來約但四方、傳悔改之洗禮、俾得罪赦、如書載先知以賽亞、言云、野有聲呼云、備主道、直其徑、諸谷填之、岡陵卑之、屈曲使直、崎嶇使平、凡有血氣者、得見上帝救主、眾出受洗、約翰曰、蝮類乎、誰示爾避後日之刑乎、

耶穌顧之、曰、爾何求耶、曰啦吡何居、啦吡、譯即夫子也、

我有斯意、豈浮而不實乎、豈狥私有今是後非乎、上帝言出必行、我指之而誓、凡所語爾、不敢今是後非、

維時、施洗約翰至猶太野、言曰、天國邇矣、爾宜悔改、此人乃先知以賽亞所指者、曰、野有聲呼云、備主道、直其徑、

然爾多欲、如水之沸、爾上父榻而污之、故不卓越於昆弟間。
