Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”

And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.”

And he added,“ God blesses those who do not fall away because of me.”

and blessed is the one who isn’t offended by me.”

And blessed is any person who does not take offense at Me.”

And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

And blessed is he, whosoever shall find no occasion of stumbling in me.

And if anyone is not offended because of Me, he is blessed.”

Blessed is anyone who takes no offense at me.”

Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know[ them], because they are spiritually discerned.

And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta,[ a city] of Sidon, unto a woman[ that was] a widow.And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.

And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

From that[ time] many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed[ is] the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.But he said, Yea rather, blessed[ are] they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

Blessed[ is he whose] transgression[ is] forgiven,[ whose] sin[ is] covered.Blessed[ is] the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit[ there is] no guile.

Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this[ child] is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

Wherefore? Because[ they sought it] not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this[ man] all these things?And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence,[ even to them] which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

Blessed[ is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.But his delight[ is] in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Blessed[ are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed[ are] they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.Blessed[ are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.Blessed[ are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.Blessed[ are] the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.Blessed[ are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God.Blessed[ are] the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.Blessed[ are] they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are ye, when[ men] shall revile you, and persecute[ you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great[ is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

ALEPH. Blessed[ are] the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard[ this], said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
