“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

“哥拉逊啊，你有祸了！伯赛大啊，你有祸了！在你们那里行过的神迹，如果行在推罗和西顿，它们早已披麻蒙灰悔改了。

“哥拉汛哪，你有祸了！伯赛达呀，你有祸了！因为在你们当中行过的神迹，如果行在提尔和西顿，那里的人早就会披麻蒙灰悔改了。

「哥拉汛哪，你有禍了！伯賽大啊，你有禍了！因為在你們中間所行的異能，若行在泰爾、西頓，他們早已披麻蒙灰悔改了。

『哀哉哥拉潯！哀哉伯撒達！假令爾中所行神蹟、行之於諦羅西同、早已披麻蒙灰、而憣然悔改矣。

“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

“ How terrible it will be for you, Chorazin! How terrible for you, Bethsaida! Suppose the miracles done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon. They would have turned away from their sins long ago. They would have put on clothes for mourning. They would have sat down in ashes.

“ What sorrow awaits you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented of their sins long ago, clothing themselves in burlap and throwing ashes on their heads to show their remorse.

“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented in sackcloth and ashes long ago.

“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that occurred in you had occurred in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

And Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon.

So these came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and asked him,“ Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”

Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd.

On their return the apostles told him all that they had done. And he took them and withdrew apart to a town called Bethsaida.

Now Herod was angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon, and they came to him with one accord, and having persuaded Blastus, the king’s chamberlain, they asked for peace, because their country depended on the king’s country for food.

But I tell you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you.

and Jerusalem and Idumea and from beyond the Jordan and from around Tyre and Sidon. When the great crowd heard all that he was doing, they came to him.

Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

And he came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon,

Then he returned from the region of Tyre and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, in the region of the Decapolis.

And they came to Bethsaida. And some people brought to him a blind man and begged him to touch him.

The next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, reviling him.And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying,“ It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,“‘ I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

Jesus answered,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.Do not marvel that I said to you,‘ You must be born again.’The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”Nicodemus said to him,“ How can these things be?”Jesus answered him,“ Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?

The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.

“ Woe to the world for temptations to sin! For it is necessary that temptations come, but woe to the one by whom the temptation comes!

Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error and perished in Korah’s rebellion.

not to many peoples of foreign speech and a hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, if I sent you to such, they would listen to you.But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.

“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.But it will be more bearable in the judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you.And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You shall be brought down to Hades.

and Elijah was sent to none of them but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.

“ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in.

“ But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seat in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces.Woe to you! For you are like unmarked graves, and people walk over them without knowing it.”One of the lawyers answered him,“ Teacher, in saying these things you insult us also.”And he said,“ Woe to you lawyers also! For you load people with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets whom your fathers killed.So you are witnesses and you consent to the deeds of your fathers, for they killed them, and you build their tombs.Therefore also the Wisdom of God said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute,’so that the blood of all the prophets, shed from the foundation of the world, may be charged against this generation,from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it will be required of this generation.Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.”

And from there he arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered a house and did not want anyone to know, yet he could not be hidden.

The Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”

The next day we put in at Sidon. And Julius treated Paul kindly and gave him leave to go to his friends and be cared for.

And disagreeing among themselves, they departed after Paul had made one statement:“ The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet:“‘ Go to this people, and say,“ You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.”For this people’s heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed; lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’Therefore let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.”

I have seen your abominations, your adulteries and neighings, your lewd whorings, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! How long will it be before you are made clean?”

therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”
