Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

What I’m about to tell you is true. No one more important than John the Baptist has ever been born. But the least important person in the kingdom of heaven is more important than he is.

Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

“ I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is!

“ Truly I tell you, among those born of women no one greater than John the Baptist has appeared, but the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Truly I say to you, among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist! Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

“ Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

我告訴你們，婦人所生的，沒有一個比約翰更大，然而在神的國裡最小的比他還大。”

神能依照我所傳的福音和耶穌基督所傳的信息，照著他奧祕的啟示，堅定你們。這奧祕自古以來祕而不宣，但現在藉著眾先知所寫的，照著永恆的神的諭旨，已經向萬國顯明出來，使他們相信而順服。

我原是使徒中最小的，本來沒有資格稱為使徒，因為我曾經迫害神的教會。

我本來比聖徒中最小的還小，神還是賜給我這恩典，要我把基督那測不透的豐富傳給外族人，

許多人到他那裡去，說：“約翰沒有行過一件神蹟，但約翰指著這人所說的一切話，都是真實的。”

約翰是一盞點亮的燈，你們情願暫時在他的光中歡樂。

我用水給你們施洗，表示你們悔改；但在我以後要來的那一位，能力比我更大，我就是替他提鞋也沒有資格。他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。

因此，無論誰廢除誡命中最小的一條，又這樣教導人，他在天國中必稱為最小的；但若有人遵行這些誡命，並且教導人遵行，他在天國中必稱為大。

耶和華包紮他子民的傷口，醫治他們傷痕的日子，月亮的光必像太陽的光；太陽的光必增加七倍，像七日的光一樣。

你們既然要審判今生的事，為甚麼讓教會不重視的人來審判呢？

他這話是指著信他的人要接受聖靈說的；那時聖靈還沒有降臨，因為耶穌還沒有得著榮耀。

這樣在神面前，人怎能稱為義呢？婦人所生的，怎能算為潔淨呢？

人是甚麼，能算為潔淨嗎？婦人所生的，能算為公義嗎？

他是在我以後來的，我就是給他解鞋帶也不配。”

誰能使潔淨出於污穢呢？無人有此本事。

對他們說：“凡因我的名接待這小孩子的，就是接待我；凡接待我的，就是接待那差我來的。誰是你們中間最小的，那人就是最大的。”

“婦人所生的日子短少，滿有攪擾；

因此，耶和華以色列的神說：‘我曾說：你的家和你的父家，必永遠行在我面前。’現在耶和華卻說：‘我決不容你們這樣行了，因為尊重我的，我必尊重他；藐視我的，必受到輕視。

因為神已經為我們預備了更美的事，使他們若不跟我們在一起，就不能完全。

到那日，耶和華必保護耶路撒冷的居民；他們中間最軟弱的，到那日必好像大衛，大衛家必好像神，好像行在他們前面的耶和華使者。

約翰為他作見證，大聲說：“這一位就是我所說的：‘那在我以後來的，位分比我高，因為他本來是在我以前的。’”

他在主面前要被尊為大，淡酒濃酒都不喝，未出母腹就被聖靈充滿。

他必興旺，我必衰微。

看哪，我是在罪孽裡生的；我母親在罪中懷了我。

我們從前也都和他們在一起，放縱肉體的私慾，隨著肉體和心意所喜好的去行；我們與別人一樣，生來都是可怒的兒女。

論到這救恩，那預言你們要得恩典的眾先知，都尋求考察過，

但現在藉著我們救主基督耶穌的顯現，才表明出來。他廢掉了死亡，藉著福音把生命和不朽彰顯出來。
