Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

What I’m about to tell you is true. No one more important than John the Baptist has ever been born. But the least important person in the kingdom of heaven is more important than he is.

Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

“ I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is!

“ Truly I tell you, among those born of women no one greater than John the Baptist has appeared, but the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Truly I say to you, among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist! Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

神能依照我所传的福音和耶稣基督所传的信息，照着他奥秘的启示，坚定你们。这奥秘自古以来秘而不宣，但现在藉着众先知所写的，照着永恒的神的谕旨，已经向万国显明出来，使他们相信而顺服。

我原是使徒中最小的，本来没有资格称为使徒，因为我曾经迫害神的教会。

我本来比圣徒中最小的还小，神还是赐给我这恩典，要我把基督那测不透的丰富传给外族人，

许多人到他那里去，说：“约翰没有行过一件神迹，但约翰指着这人所说的一切话，都是真实的。”

约翰是一盏点亮的灯，你们情愿暂时在他的光中欢乐。

我用水给你们施洗，表示你们悔改；但在我以后要来的那一位，能力比我更大，我就是替他提鞋也没有资格。他要用圣灵与火给你们施洗。

因此，无论谁废除诫命中最小的一条，又这样教导人，他在天国中必称为最小的；但若有人遵行这些诫命，并且教导人遵行，他在天国中必称为大。

耶和华包扎他子民的伤口，医治他们伤痕的日子，月亮的光必像太阳的光；太阳的光必增加七倍，像七日的光一样。

你们既然要审判今生的事，为什么让教会不重视的人来审判呢？

他这话是指着信他的人要接受圣灵说的；那时圣灵还没有降临，因为耶稣还没有得着荣耀。

这样在神面前，人怎能称为义呢？妇人所生的，怎能算为洁净呢？

人是什么，能算为洁净吗？妇人所生的，能算为公义吗？

他是在我以后来的，我就是给他解鞋带也不配。”

谁能使洁净出于污秽呢？无人有此本事。

对他们说：“凡因我的名接待这小孩子的，就是接待我；凡接待我的，就是接待那差我来的。谁是你们中间最小的，那人就是最大的。”

“妇人所生的日子短少，满有搅扰；

因此，耶和华以色列的神说：‘我曾说：你的家和你的父家，必永远行在我面前。’现在耶和华却说：‘我决不容你们这样行了，因为尊重我的，我必尊重他；藐视我的，必受到轻视。

因为神已经为我们预备了更美的事，使他们若不跟我们在一起，就不能完全。

到那日，耶和华必保护耶路撒冷的居民；他们中间最软弱的，到那日必好像大卫，大卫家必好像神，好像行在他们前面的耶和华使者。

约翰为他作见证，大声说：“这一位就是我所说的：‘那在我以后来的，位分比我高，因为他本来是在我以前的。’”

他在主面前要被尊为大，淡酒浓酒都不喝，未出母腹就被圣灵充满。

他必兴旺，我必衰微。

看哪，我是在罪孽里生的；我母亲在罪中怀了我。

我们从前也都和他们在一起，放纵肉体的私欲，随着肉体和心意所喜好的去行；我们与别人一样，生来都是可怒的儿女。

论到这救恩，那预言你们要得恩典的众先知，都寻求考察过，

但现在藉着我们救主基督耶稣的显现，才表明出来。他废掉了死亡，藉着福音把生命和不朽彰显出来。
