Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

What I’m about to tell you is true. No one more important than John the Baptist has ever been born. But the least important person in the kingdom of heaven is more important than he is.

Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

“ I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is!

“ Truly I tell you, among those born of women no one greater than John the Baptist has appeared, but the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Truly I say to you, among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist! Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

“ Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not arisen a greater than John the Baptist: yet he that is but little in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

我告訴你們，凡婦人所生的，沒有一個比約翰大，但上帝國中最微不足道的也比他大。」

感謝上帝！祂能使你們剛強，正如我所傳講的福音和耶穌基督的教導。這福音是自古隱藏、從未顯明的奧祕，如今按著永恆上帝的命令，藉著先知們所寫的經書公諸於世，讓世人都信從耶穌基督。

在眾使徒中我最微不足道，根本不配稱為使徒，因為我曾迫害上帝的教會。

我本來比最卑微的聖徒還卑微，卻蒙上帝賜我這恩典，讓我把基督那測不透的豐富傳給外族人，

許多人來到祂那裡。他們說：「雖然約翰沒有行過神蹟，可是約翰所說關於這人的事全是真的。」

約翰是一盞點亮的明燈，你們情願暫時享受他的光。

我用水為你們施洗，叫你們悔改。但在我之後，有位比我更有能力的要來，我連替祂提鞋都不配。祂要用聖靈和火為你們施洗。

所以，誰違背這些誡命中最小的一條，並教導別人違背，誰在天國將被稱為最小的。但誰遵守這些誡命，並教導別人遵守，誰在天國將被稱為大的。

耶和華包紮他百姓的創傷，醫治祂子民的傷口時，月亮必發出太陽般的光輝，太陽的光輝必增加七倍，燦爛得好像七個太陽同時發光。

如果你們有什麼糾紛，你們會指派不受教會敬重的人來審理嗎？

耶穌這話是指信祂的人要得到聖靈，但當時聖靈還沒有降臨，因為耶穌還沒有得到榮耀。

世人怎能在上帝面前算為義人？婦人所生的怎能純潔？

人算什麼，怎能純潔？婦人所生的算什麼，怎能公義？

祂雖然是在我以後來的，我就是給祂解鞋帶也不配。」

誰能使污穢產生潔淨呢？沒有人能。

然後對門徒說：「任何人為了我的緣故接待這樣一個小孩子，就是接待我；接待我，就是接待差我來的那位。你們當中最卑微的其實是最偉大的。」

「人為婦人所生，一生短暫，充滿患難。

「所以，以色列的上帝耶和華宣告說，『我曾經應許讓你們家族永遠做我的祭司。』但現在耶和華宣佈，『這絕不可能了。尊重我的，我必尊重他；藐視我的，必遭藐視。

因為上帝為我們預備了更美的，要叫他們與我們一同得到才算完美。

到那天，耶和華必保護耶路撒冷的居民，使他們當中最軟弱的像大衛一樣剛強，使大衛家像上帝一樣，像耶和華的天使一樣帶領他們。

約翰為祂做見證的時候，高聲喊道：「這就是我以前所說的那位，『祂在我以後來卻比我位分高，因為祂在我之前已經存在了。』」

因為他將成為主偉大的僕人。他必滴酒不沾，並且在母腹裡就被聖靈充滿。

祂必興旺，我必衰微。

我生來就是個罪人，在母腹成胎的時候就有罪。

我們以前也在他們當中隨從罪惡的本性，放縱肉體和心中的私慾，與其他人一樣本是惹上帝發怒的人。

有關這救恩，那些預言恩典要臨到你們的眾先知早已詳細尋求查考了。

如今藉著我們救主基督耶穌的降世顯明了出來。基督已經消滅了死亡，藉著福音將不朽的生命彰顯了出來。

這道是歷世歷代一直隱藏的奧祕，現在已經向祂的眾聖徒顯明了。上帝要他們知道這奧祕在外族人中有何等豐富的榮耀，這奧祕就是基督在你們裡面，使你們有榮耀的盼望。
