你們如果照我的吩咐去做，就是我的朋友。

祂在各會堂裡教導人，大家都稱讚祂。祂來到自己長大的地方拿撒勒，照常在安息日進會堂，並站起來誦讀聖經。有人把以賽亞先知書遞給祂，祂打開書卷，找到這樣一段經文：「主的靈在我身上，因為祂膏立了我，讓我傳福音給貧窮的人，差遣我宣告被擄的人得釋放、瞎眼的人得見光明、受欺壓的人得自由，又宣告上帝悅納人的恩年已經來臨。」耶穌讀完便收好書卷，還給負責的人，然後坐下。會堂裡的人都把目光集中在祂身上。祂就對他們說：「你們剛才聽見的這段經文今天已經應驗了。」

此後，耶穌到各城鎮去傳揚上帝國的福音。同行的有十二使徒，

你們都知道我們靠著主耶穌傳給你們的誡命。

耶穌走遍加利利，在各個會堂裡教導人，宣講天國的福音，醫治人們各樣的疾病。

你們若遵守我的命令，就必常在我的愛中，正如我遵守了父的命令，常在父的愛中一樣。

祂命令我們向世人傳道，見證祂就是上帝指派來審判活人和死人的那位。

一直談到祂藉著聖靈吩咐了自己選立的使徒，然後被接回天上。

弟兄姊妹，現在我們奉主耶穌基督的名吩咐你們，要遠離那些遊手好閒、不遵守我們教導的信徒。

教導他們遵守我吩咐你們的一切。記住，我必常與你們同在，一直到世界的末了。」

大家聽完耶穌這番教導，都很驚奇，

要遵守這命令，做純潔無瑕、無可指責的人，一直到我們的主耶穌基督再來。
