雖然、人不足畏也；蓋藏者無不彰、隱者無不顯耳。

蓋隱者莫不顯、微者莫不彰、爾雖言於暗中、必將聞於光天。耳語密室、乃必揚於屋巔。吾友乎、予語爾、彼僅能殺人之身、而餘無能為者、不足畏也。予今告爾、孰當畏者、既殺其身、而又能投之於地獄者、斯足畏焉。予勸爾畏之。五雀非售二分銀乎？然在天主之前、固無一雀被遺忘也。即爾頭上之髮、亦莖莖有數。毋事憂懼爾固貴於群雀也。予語爾凡認予於人前者、人子亦必認之於天主之眾天神前。其不認予於人前者、亦不被認於天主眾神之前也。

故望爾等在時機未熟之前、勿遽下評斷；務須靜候主之來臨。屆時、彼必燭幽揚隱、揭曉人心之思慮；而人人必得公允之褒獎矣。

即使為善而茹苦、亦屬可慶。人之威脅、不足畏也。

伯鐸祿若望曰：『順爾旨而背天主、爾自分於理有當否？

然聖神降臨、將賜爾等以神力、而爾等將為予作證、始自耶路撒冷、繼及猶太沙瑪里、終至普天率土、無遠不屆。』

俾痛悔赦罪之道、得藉其名而傳於世、始自耶路撒冷以達萬邦。

眾見伯鐸祿若望侃侃而談、且識其為不學小民、素樸之人、皆不勝驚訝、意必曾親炙耶穌者、
