They rose up, threw him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill that their city was built on, that they might throw him off the cliff.But he, passing through the middle of them, went his way.He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. He was teaching them on the Sabbath day,

The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Beroea. When they arrived, they went into the Jewish synagogue.

but their plot became known to Saul. They watched the gates both day and night that they might kill him,but his disciples took him by night and let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.

Saul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the assembly which was in Jerusalem in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles.

Then the brothers immediately sent out Paul to go as far as to the sea, and Silas and Timothy still stayed there.

I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

But some Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there, and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul, and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.But as the disciples stood around him, he rose up, and entered into the city. On the next day he went out with Barnabas to Derbe.

But if that evil servant should say in his heart,‘ My lord is delaying his coming,’

So from that day forward they took counsel that they might put him to death.Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews, but departed from there into the country near the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim. He stayed there with his disciples.

they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra, Derbe, and the surrounding region.There they preached the Good News.

For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

Therefore behold, I send to you prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify; and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city;

Now when Jesus heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee.

But the Jews stirred up the devout and prominent women and the chief men of the city, and stirred up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out of their borders.But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came to Iconium.

Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

They sought again to seize him, and he went out of their hand.He went away again beyond the Jordan into the place where John was baptizing at first, and he stayed there.Many came to him. They said,“ John indeed did no sign, but everything that John said about this man is true.”Many believed in him there.

Jesus said to him,“ You have said it. Nevertheless, I tell you, after this you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of the sky.”

But the Pharisees went out, and conspired against him, how they might destroy him.Jesus, perceiving that, withdrew from there. Great multitudes followed him; and he healed them all,

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying,“ Arise and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.”

After these things, Jesus was walking in Galilee, for he wouldn’t walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.

Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

After the uproar had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, took leave of them, and departed to go into Macedonia.
