When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

When people attack you in one place, escape to another. What I’m about to tell you is true. You will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

They got up, forced him out of the town, and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw him down the cliff.But he passed through the crowd and went on his way.So he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he began to teach the people.

The brothers sent Paul and Silas off to Berea at once, during the night. When they arrived, they went to the Jewish synagogue.

but Saul learned of their plot against him. They were also watching the city gates day and night so that they could kill him.But his disciples took him at night and let him down through an opening in the wall by lowering him in a basket.

And Saul agreed completely with killing him. Now on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were forced to scatter throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria.

Then the brothers sent Paul away to the coast at once, but Silas and Timothy remained in Berea.

I tell you, he will give them justice speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

But Jews came from Antioch and Iconium, and after winning the crowds over, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, presuming him to be dead.But after the disciples had surrounded him, he got up and went back into the city. On the next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.

But if that evil slave should say to himself,‘ My master is staying away a long time,’

So from that day they planned together to kill him.Thus Jesus no longer went around publicly among the Judeans, but went away from there to the region near the wilderness, to a town called Ephraim, and stayed there with his disciples.

Paul and Barnabas learned about it and fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and the surrounding region.There they continued to proclaim the good news.

For just like the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man arriving on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

“ For this reason I am sending you prophets and wise men and experts in the law, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town,

Now when Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned, he went into Galilee.

But the Jews incited the God- fearing women of high social standing and the prominent men of the city, stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out of their region.So after they shook the dust off their feet in protest against them, they went to Iconium.

Therefore stay alert, because you do not know the day or the hour.

Then they will see the Son of Man arriving in a cloud with power and great glory.

Then they attempted again to seize him, but he escaped their clutches.Jesus went back across the Jordan River again to the place where John had been baptizing at an earlier time, and he stayed there.Many came to him and began to say,“ John performed no miraculous sign, but everything John said about this man was true!”And many believed in Jesus there.

Jesus said to him,“ You have said it yourself. But I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

But the Pharisees went out and plotted against him, as to how they could assassinate him.Now when Jesus learned of this, he went away from there. Great crowds followed him, and he healed them all.

After they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said,“ Get up, take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to look for the child to kill him.”

After this Jesus traveled throughout Galilee. He stayed out of Judea because the Jewish leaders wanted to kill him.

Then everyone will see the Son of Man arriving in the clouds with great power and glory.

After the disturbance had ended, Paul sent for the disciples, and after encouraging them and saying farewell, he left to go to Macedonia.
