When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

They got up, drove Him out of town, and brought Him to the edge of the hill that their town was built on, intending to hurl Him over the cliff.But He passed right through the crowd and went on His way.Then He went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbath.

As soon as it was night, the brothers sent Paul and Silas off to Berea. On arrival, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.

but their plot became known to Saul. So they were watching the gates day and night intending to kill him,but his disciples took him by night and lowered him in a large basket through an opening in the wall.

Saul agreed with putting him to death. On that day a severe persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout the land of Judea and Samaria.

Then the brothers immediately sent Paul away to go to the sea, but Silas and Timothy stayed on there.

I tell you that He will swiftly grant them justice. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find that faith on earth?”

Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium, and when they had won over the crowds and stoned Paul, they dragged him out of the city, thinking he was dead.After the disciples surrounded him, he got up and went into the town. The next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.

But if that wicked slave says in his heart,‘ My master is delayed,’

So from that day on they plotted to kill Him.Therefore Jesus no longer walked openly among the Jews but departed from there to the countryside near the wilderness, to a town called Ephraim. And He stayed there with the disciples.

they found out about it and fled to the Lycaonian towns called Lystra and Derbe, and to the surrounding countryside.And there they kept evangelizing.

For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

“ Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

This is why I am sending you prophets, sages, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues and hound from town to town.

When He heard that John had been arrested, He withdrew into Galilee.

But the Jews incited the prominent women, who worshiped God, and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas and expelled them from their district.But they shook the dust off their feet against them and went to Iconium.

“ Therefore be alert, because you don’t know either the day or the hour.

Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Then they were trying again to seize Him, yet He eluded their grasp.So He departed again across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing earlier, and He remained there.Many came to Him and said,“ John never did a sign, but everything John said about this man was true.”And many believed in Him there.

“ You have said it,” Jesus told him.“ But I tell you, in the future you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

But the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.When Jesus became aware of this, He withdrew from there. Huge crowds followed Him, and He healed them all.

After they were gone, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying,“ Get up! Take the child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. For Herod is about to search for the child to destroy Him.”

After this, Jesus traveled in Galilee, since He did not want to travel in Judea because the Jews were trying to kill Him.

Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

After the uproar was over, Paul sent for the disciples, encouraged them, and after saying good-bye, departed to go to Macedonia.
