你们也会被父母、弟兄、亲戚、朋友出卖，他们又要害死你们一些人。你们要因我的名，被众人恨恶，

那时许多人会失去信仰，彼此出卖，互相恨恶；

你们以为我来是要地上有和平吗？不是的，我告诉你们，是要有纷争。从今以后，一家五口将起纷争，三个反对两个，两个反对三个。他们将起纷争：父亲反对儿子，儿子反对父亲，母亲反对女儿，女儿反对母亲，婆婆反对媳妇，媳妇反对婆婆。”

如果有人再说预言，他的亲生父母必对他说：‘你不该活着，因为你奉耶和华的名说谎。’他说预言的时候，他的亲生父母必把他刺死。

“你们不要以为我来了，是要给地上带来和平；我并没有带来和平，却带来刀剑，因为我来了是要叫人分裂：人与父亲作对，女儿与母亲作对，媳妇与婆婆作对，人的仇敌就是自己的家人。

亚希多弗又对押沙龙说：“求你准我挑选一万二千人，今晚我要动身去追赶大卫，趁他疲乏手软的时候，忽然追上他，使他惊惶失措，与他在一起的人就必逃跑；我只要单单击杀王一人，使众人都来归你。好像新娘归回丈夫那里一样。你所寻索的不过是一个人的性命，众人会平安无事（《马索拉文本》本句意思不明确，现参照《七十士译本》翻译）。众人就都归你了，众人也可以平安无事。”押沙龙和以色列的众长老都看这事为美。

大卫又对亚比筛和他所有的臣仆说：“看哪！连我亲生的儿子尚且寻索我的命，何况这便雅悯人呢？由他去吧，由他咒骂吧！因为这是耶和华吩咐他的。

我所有的密友都憎恶我，我所爱的人也向我反脸。
