Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Him with her sons, kneeling down and asking something from Him.

And He sent Peter and John, saying,“ Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”

Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them,“ They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”

This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately,

that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,

And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.Then Jesus said to them,“ Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

Now as soon as they had come out of the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said,“ Lord, who is the one who betrays You?”

And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Therefore the wisdom of God also said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,’

And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants— things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,

Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.
