But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say,

付爾時、勿慮何以言、何所言、屆時必賜爾以何言也、

解之時、勿慮將如之何、出言若何、時至、必賜爾以何言也、

解爾之時、勿慮如何言、或何以言、時至、必賜爾以何言、

爾被解時勿慮將如何言、當作何語；屆時必示爾所當言；

But when they arrest you, don’t worry about what you will say or how you will say it. At that time you will be given the right words to say.

When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour.

When you are arrested, don’t worry about how to respond or what to say. God will give you the right words at the right time.

But when they hand you over, don’t worry about how or what you are to speak. For you will be given what to say at that hour,

But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for what you are to say will be given you in that hour.

But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;

But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that hour what ye shall speak.

But when they hand you over, don’t worry about how or what you should speak. For you will be given what to say at that hour,

But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

Whenever they hand you over for trial, do not worry about how to speak or what to say, for what you should say will be given to you at that time.

But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.

Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.“ Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.Everyone will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”

“ When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say,

“ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him,“ King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

So do not worry, saying,‘ What shall we eat?’ or‘ What shall we drink?’ or‘ What shall we wear?’

But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.

You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth; I will help both of you speak and will teach you what to do.

Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me,“ I have put my words in your mouth.

But the Lord said to me,“ Do not say,‘ I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.

“ But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.And so you will bear testimony to me.But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.Everyone will hate you because of me.

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them:“ Rulers and elders of the people!If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed,then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.Jesus is“‘ the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Peter and the other apostles replied:“ We must obey God rather than human beings!The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead— whom you killed by hanging him on a cross.God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”When they heard this, they were furious and wanted to put them to death.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

“ King Agrippa, I consider myself fortunate to stand before you today as I make my defense against all the accusations of the Jews,and especially so because you are well acquainted with all the Jewish customs and controversies. Therefore, I beg you to listen to me patiently.“ The Jewish people all know the way I have lived ever since I was a child, from the beginning of my life in my own country, and also in Jerusalem.They have known me for a long time and can testify, if they are willing, that I conformed to the strictest sect of our religion, living as a Pharisee.And now it is because of my hope in what God has promised our ancestors that I am on trial today.This is the promise our twelve tribes are hoping to see fulfilled as they earnestly serve God day and night. King Agrippa, it is because of this hope that these Jews are accusing me.Why should any of you consider it incredible that God raises the dead?“ I too was convinced that I ought to do all that was possible to oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth.And that is just what I did in Jerusalem. On the authority of the chief priests I put many of the Lord’s people in prison, and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them.Many a time I went from one synagogue to another to have them punished, and I tried to force them to blaspheme. I was so obsessed with persecuting them that I even hunted them down in foreign cities.
