兄弟、論智慧勿似孩提、論惡當似孩提、論智慧當似成人、

蓋我知我去後、必有殘酷之狼、入爾曹中、不惜其群、

爾當以智慧待彼教會外之人、愛惜光陰、

蓋如此之人、不事我主耶穌基督、惟事其口腹、以巧言媚語、誘惑樸實者之心、爾之順從、已傳揚於眾、故我為爾喜、願爾於善則智、於惡則愚、

慎爾所行、勿效無智者、宜效智者、今時有患難、當惜光陰、故勿為愚者、當明主之旨、

昔蛇以狡詐、誘惑夏娃、我懼爾心偏邪、失去信基督之誠、亦復如是、

蓋我將賜爾以口才智慧、使爾諸仇不能辯駁抵拒、

此亦不足為奇、蓋撒但亦貌為光明之天使、

耶和華天主所造諸生物、莫狡於蛇、蛇謂婦曰、園中諸樹、天主皆戒爾勿食其果乎、

是以我儕自聞之之時、為爾祈禱不已、求主俾爾得諸睿智靈慧、盡知其旨、

我於爾曹信者中、如何清潔公義、無可指摘、有爾為證、亦有天主為證、

凡類於惡者、悉戒之、

免人因我所集多金謗我、

我之良心、證我處世為人、常以天主所賜之誠心實意、不恃肉體之智慧、惟恃天主之恩寵、我在爾中更如是、此乃我所誇者也、
