Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.

What I’m about to tell you is true. On judgment day it will be easier for Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

I tell you the truth, the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off than such a town on the judgment day.

then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from a trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

But I tell you that for every careless word that people speak, they will give an account of it on the day of judgment.

Nevertheless I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will be brought down to Hades! But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people.

‘ Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off in protest against you; yet be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’I say to you, it will be more tolerable on that day for Sodom than for that city.

and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example of what is coming for the ungodly;

As I live,” declares the Lord God,“ Sodom, your sister and her daughters have not done as you and your daughters have done!Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrogance, plenty of food, and carefree ease, but she did not help the poor and needy.So they were haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore I removed them when I saw it.Furthermore, Samaria did not commit half of your sins, for you have multiplied your abominations more than they. So you have made your sisters appear innocent by all your abominations which you have committed.Also, bear your disgrace in that you have made judgment favorable for your sisters. Because of your sins in which you acted more abominably than they, they are more in the right than you. Yes, be also ashamed and bear your disgrace, in that you made your sisters appear innocent.“ Nevertheless, I will restore their fortunes, the fortunes of Sodom and her daughters, the fortunes of Samaria and her daughters, and along with them your own fortunes,so that you will bear your disgrace and feel ashamed for all that you have done when you become a consolation to them.Your sisters, Sodom with her daughters and Samaria with her daughters, will return to their former state, and you with your daughters will also return to your former state.As the name of your sister Sodom was not heard from your lips in your day of pride,

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.The one who hates Me hates My Father also.If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well.

For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished!

Any place that does not receive you or listen to you, as you go out from there, shake the dust off the soles of your feet as a testimony against them.”

Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
