信的人將有神蹟隨着他們：就是奉我的名趕鬼；說新方言；手能拿蛇；若喝了甚麼毒物，也不會受害；手按病人，病人就好了。」〕

我要將我父所應許的降在你們身上，你們要在城裏等候，直到你們領受從上面來的能力。」

我已經給你們權柄可以踐踏蛇和蠍子，又勝過仇敵一切的能力，絕沒有甚麼能害你們。

但聖靈降臨在你們身上，你們就必得着能力，並要在耶路撒冷、猶太全地和撒瑪利亞，直到地極，作我的見證。」

約翰回答說：「若不是從天上賜的，人就不能得到甚麼。

到了天亮，他叫門徒來，就從他們中間挑選十二個人，稱他們為使徒。

但邪靈回答他們：「耶穌我知道，保羅我也認識，你們卻是誰呢？」

因為我必賜你們口才和智慧，是你們一切敵人所敵不住、駁不倒的。

耶穌回答他們：「我不是揀選了你們十二個嗎？但你們中間有一個是魔鬼。」

耶穌進前來，對他們說：「天上地下所有的權柄都賜給我了。所以，你們要去，使萬民作我的門徒，奉父、子、聖靈的名給他們施洗，

它有高大的牆，有十二個門，門上有十二位天使，門上又寫着以色列人十二個支派的名字。東邊有三個門，北邊有三個門，南邊有三個門，西邊有三個門。城牆有十二個根基，根基上有羔羊十二使徒的名字。

你們殺了那生命的創始者，上帝卻叫他從死人中復活；我們都是這事的見證人。因信他的名，他的名使你們所看見所認識的這人健壯了；正是他所賜的信心使這人在你們眾人面前完全好了。

天上出現了一個大兆頭：有一個婦人身披太陽，腳踏月亮，頭戴十二顆星的冠冕；

因為你曾賜給他權柄掌管凡血肉之軀的，使他把永生賜給你所賜給他的人。

到了晚上，耶穌和十二使徒坐席。

於是耶穌又對他們說：「願你們平安！父怎樣差遣了我，我也照樣差遣你們。」說了這話，他向他們吹一口氣，說：「領受聖靈吧！你們赦免誰的罪，誰的罪就得赦免；你們不赦免誰的罪，誰的罪就不得赦免。」

父愛子，已把萬有交在他手裏。

耶穌對他們說：「我實在告訴你們，你們這些跟從我的人，到了萬物更新、人子坐在他榮耀寶座上的時候，你們也要坐在十二個寶座上，審判以色列十二個支派。

不叫我們陷入試探；救我們脫離那惡者。因為國度、權柄、榮耀，全是你的，直到永遠。阿們！』

耶穌還在說話的時候，十二使徒之一的猶大來了，還有一大羣人帶着刀棒，從祭司長和百姓的長老那裏跟他同來。
