如望應曰：『苟非自天授之、人亦何所受乎？

昧爽、召門徒至、就中簡選十二人、稱為宗徒。

然厲鬼答之曰：『耶穌予所識、葆樂予所知；顧爾為何許人耶？』

予當賜爾靈慧口才、非爾敵人所能駁覆。

爾曹殘殺生命之主、而天主則已使之起死回生吾儕實為其證。今爾曹所見所識之跛者得以痊復、實由信賴其聖名耳。此人在爾眾之前、能證其康復如常者、惟憑耶穌所賜之信德而已。

爾時天上忽見異兆：有婦身披太陽、足踐太陰、首冠十二天星；

嚮者父授子以統治元元之權、欲其以永生溥施父所授子之人也。

迨晚、耶穌率十二門徒登席。

耶穌復諭之曰：『賜爾平安！正如聖父遣予、予亦遣爾。』言訖噓之曰：『領受聖神！爾赦人罪、其罪見赦、爾所不赦者、其罪留存。』

聖父篤愛聖子、已將一切授諸其手矣。

耶穌曰：『吾實語爾、爾曹從我者、至復活時、人子坐於榮座、爾曹亦必坐於十二寶座、審判義塞十二支派。

免我墮誘惑、拯我出咎殃。

言際、十二徒之一茹答斯者果至、群人手刃興梃而隨之、蓋均為司祭長及民間耆老所遣者。
