And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages;they will pick up snakes; if they should drink anything deadly, it will never harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”

And look, I am sending you what My Father promised. As for you, stay in the city until you are empowered from on high.”

Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; nothing will ever harm you.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

John responded,“ No one can receive a single thing unless it’s given to him from heaven.

When daylight came, He summoned His disciples, and He chose 12 of them— He also named them apostles:

The evil spirit answered them,“ I know Jesus, and I recognize Paul— but who are you?”

for I will give you such words and a wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

Jesus replied to them,“ Didn’t I choose you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is the Devil!”

Then Jesus came near and said to them,“ All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

The city had a massive high wall, with 12 gates. Twelve angels were at the gates; the names of the 12 tribes of Israel’s sons were inscribed on the gates.There were three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.The city wall had 12 foundations, and the 12 names of the Lamb’s 12 apostles were on the foundations.

You killed the source of life, whom God raised from the dead; we are witnesses of this.By faith in His name, His name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. So the faith that comes through Him has given him this perfect health in front of all of you.

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of 12 stars on her head.

for You gave Him authority over all flesh; so He may give eternal life to all You have given Him.

When evening came, He was reclining at the table with the Twelve.

Jesus said to them again,“ Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”After saying this, He breathed on them and said,“ Receive the Holy Spirit.If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hands.

Jesus said to them,“ I assure you: In the Messianic Age, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on 12 thrones, judging the 12 tribes of Israel.

And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

While He was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, suddenly arrived. A large mob, with swords and clubs, was with him from the chief priests and elders of the people.
