信的人必有神蹟隨著他們，就是奉我的名趕鬼，用新方言說話，用手握蛇，喝了甚麼毒物也不受害，手按病人就必好了。”

我要使我父的應許臨到你們身上，你們當在城裡等候，直到得著從上面來的能力。”

我已經給你們權柄，去踐踏蛇和蠍子，勝過仇敵的一切能力。絕對沒有甚麼能傷害你們了。

可是聖靈降臨在你們身上，你們就必領受能力，並且要在耶路撒冷、猶太全地、撒瑪利亞，直到地極，作我的見證人。”

約翰回答：“除了從天上賜下來給他的，人就不能得到甚麼。

天亮以後，他把門徒叫來，從他們中間挑選了十二個人，稱他們為使徒，

邪靈回答他們：“耶穌我認識，保羅我也知道；你們是誰？”

因為我必賜給你們口才、智慧，是你們所有的敵人不能抵抗，也不能駁倒的。

耶穌說：“我不是揀選了你們十二個人嗎？但你們中間有一個是魔鬼。”

有高大的城牆，有十二個門，門口有十二位天使，門上寫著以色列十二支派的名字。東邊有三個門，南邊有三個門，西邊有三個門，北邊有三個門。城牆有十二座根基，根基上有羊羔的十二使徒的名字。

你們殺了那‘生命的創始者’，神卻使他從死人中復活。我們就是這件事的見證人。是他的名—因信他的名—使你們所看見所認識的這個人強壯了。這從耶穌而來的信心，當著你們眾人面前，把他完全醫好了。

那時，天上出現了一個奇偉的景象：有一個婦人，身披太陽，腳踏月亮，頭戴十二顆星的冠冕。

正如你把管理全人類的權柄給了他，使他賜永生給你所賜給他的人。

到了晚上，耶穌和十二門徒一同吃晚餐。

耶穌又對他們說：“願你們平安。父怎樣差遣了我，我也怎樣差遣你們。”說了這話，就向他們吹一口氣，說：“你們領受聖靈吧！你們赦免誰的罪，誰的罪就得赦免；你們不赦免誰的罪，誰的罪就不得赦免。”

父愛子，已經把萬有交在他手裡。

耶穌對他們說：“我實在告訴你們，到了萬物更新，人子坐在他榮耀的寶座上的時候，你們這些跟從我的人，也會坐在十二個寶座上，審判以色列的十二個支派。

不要讓我們陷入試探，救我們脫離那惡者。’﹙有些後期抄本在此有“因為國度、權柄、榮耀，全是你的，直到永遠。阿們”一句。﹚

耶穌還在說話的時候，十二門徒中的猶大，帶著一大群拿著刀棒的人來到，他們是祭司長和民間的長老派來的。
