Jesse became the father of King David. David became the father of Solomon by her who had been Uriah’s wife.

and Jesse the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah’s wife,

and Jesse fathered King David. David fathered Solomon by Uriah’s wife,

and Jesse begot David the king. David the king begot Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.

and Jesse begat David the king. And David begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Uriah;

and Jesse fathered King David. Then David fathered Solomon by Uriah’s wife,

And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her[ that had been the wife] of Urias;

and Jesse the father of David the king. David was the father of Solomon( by the wife of Uriah),

Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehem Judah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons. The man was an elderly old man in the days of Saul.

Yahweh said to Samuel,“ How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him from being king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go. I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite; for I have provided a king for myself among his sons.”

David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in to her, and lay with her. She bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. Yahweh loved him;and he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet, and he named him Jedidiah, for Yahweh’s sake.

When Uriah’s wife heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband.When the mourning was past, David sent and took her home to his house, and she became his wife, and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased Yahweh.

and these were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel;

These are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,

Samuel said to Jesse,“ Are all your children here?” He said,“ There remains yet the youngest. Behold, he is keeping the sheep.” Samuel said to Jesse,“ Send and get him, for we will not sit down until he comes here.”He sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with a handsome face and good appearance. Yahweh said,“ Arise! Anoint him, for this is he.”Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the middle of his brothers. Then Yahweh’s Spirit came mightily on David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up and went to Ramah.

Then Saul’s anger burned against Jonathan, and he said to him,“ You son of a perverse rebellious woman, don’t I know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame, and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, you will not be established, nor will your kingdom. Therefore now send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die!”

This ends the prayers by David, the son of Jesse.

Ozem the sixth, David the seventh;

that all of you have conspired against me, and there is no one who discloses to me when my son makes a treaty with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you who is sorry for me, or discloses to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as it is today?”

Of all my sons( for Yahweh has given me many sons), he has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of Yahweh’s kingdom over Israel.

and Obed became the father of Jesse, and Jesse became the father of David.

Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse says, the man who was raised on high says, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel:

Saul said to him,“ Whose son are you, you young man?” David answered,“ I am the son of your servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.”

For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;

David sent and inquired after the woman. One said,“ Isn’t this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, Uriah the Hittite’s wife?”

When he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, to whom he also testified,‘ I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who will do all my will.’From this man’s offspring, God has brought salvation to Israel according to his promise,

and Uriah the Hittite: thirty- seven in all.

A shoot will come out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots will bear fruit.

Then Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying,“ Haven’t you heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith reigns, and David our lord doesn’t know it?Now therefore come, please let me give you counsel, that you may save your own life, and your son Solomon’s life.Go in to king David, and tell him,‘ Didn’t you, my lord, king, swear to your servant, saying,“ Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne?” Why then does Adonijah reign?’Behold, while you are still talking there with the king, I will also come in after you and confirm your words.”Bathsheba went in to the king in his room. The king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite was serving the king.Bathsheba bowed, and showed respect to the king. The king said,“ What would you like?”She said to him,“ My lord, you swore by Yahweh your God to your servant,‘ Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne.’

Then king David answered,“ Call Bathsheba in to me.” She came into the king’s presence and stood before the king.The king swore, and said,“ As Yahweh lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,most certainly as I swore to you by Yahweh, the God of Israel, saying,‘ Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place;’ I will most certainly do this today.”Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth, and showed respect to the king, and said,“ Let my lord king David live forever!”

because David did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, and didn’t turn away from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, except only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
