and Jesse the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah’s wife,

And Jesse was the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon. Solomon’s mother had been Uriah’s wife.

and Jesse the father of David the king. And David was the father of Solomon by the wife of Uriah,

Jesse was the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon( whose mother was Bathsheba, the widow of Uriah).

and Jesse fathered King David. David fathered Solomon by Uriah’s wife,

Jesse fathered David the king. David fathered Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.

and Jesse begat David the king. And David begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Uriah;

and Jesse fathered King David. Then David fathered Solomon by Uriah’s wife,

And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her[ that had been the wife] of Urias;

and Jesse the father of David the king. David was the father of Solomon( by the wife of Uriah),

Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehem Judah, whose name was Jesse, and who had eight sons. And the man was old, advanced in years, in the days of Saul.

Now the Lord said to Samuel,“ How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.”

Then David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in to her and lay with her. So she bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. Now the Lord loved him,and He sent word by the hand of Nathan the prophet: So he called his name Jedidiah, because of the Lord.

When the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband.And when her mourning was over, David sent and brought her to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.

And these were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon— four by Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel.

And these are the names of his children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,

And Samuel said to Jesse,“ Are all the young men here?” Then he said,“ There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep.” And Samuel said to Jesse,“ Send and bring him. For we will not sit down till he comes here.”So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said,“ Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!”Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

Then Saul’s anger was aroused against Jonathan, and he said to him,“ You son of a perverse, rebellious woman! Do I not know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, you shall not be established, nor your kingdom. Now therefore, send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die.”

The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.

All of you have conspired against me, and there is no one who reveals to me that my son has made a covenant with the son of Jesse; and there is not one of you who is sorry for me or reveals to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as it is this day.”

And of all my sons( for the Lord has given me many sons) He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David.

Now these are the last words of David. Thus says David the son of Jesse; Thus says the man raised up on high, The anointed of the God of Jacob, And the sweet psalmist of Israel:

And Saul said to him,“ Whose son are you, young man?” So David answered,“ I am the son of your servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.”

For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,

So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said,“ Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?”

And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said,‘ I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’From this man’s seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Savior— Jesus—

and Uriah the Hittite: thirty-seven in all.

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.

So Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying,“ Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith has become king, and David our Lord does not know it?Come, please, let me now give you advice, that you may save your own life and the life of your son Solomon.Go immediately to King David and say to him,‘ Did you not, my Lord, O king, swear to your maidservant, saying,“ Assuredly your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne”? Why then has Adonijah become king?’Then, while you are still talking there with the king, I also will come in after you and confirm your words.”So Bathsheba went into the chamber to the king.( Now the king was very old, and Abishag the Shunammite was serving the king.)And Bathsheba bowed and did homage to the king. Then the king said,“ What is your wish?”Then she said to him,“ My Lord, you swore by the Lord your God to your maidservant, saying,‘ Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne.’

Then King David answered and said,“ Call Bathsheba to me.” So she came into the king’s presence and stood before the king.And the king took an oath and said,“ As the Lord lives, who has redeemed my life from every distress,just as I swore to you by the Lord God of Israel, saying,‘ Assuredly Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place,’ so I certainly will do this day.”Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth, and paid homage to the king, and said,“ Let my Lord King David live forever!”

because David did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and had not turned aside from anything that He commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
