But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in the place of his father, Herod, he was afraid to go there. Being warned in a dream, he withdrew into the region of Galilee,

Yahweh’s angel appeared to the woman, and said to her,“ See now, you are barren and childless; but you shall conceive and bear a son.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.

How long will you go here and there, you backsliding daughter? For Yahweh has created a new thing in the earth: a woman will encompass a man.”

You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.

The thoughts of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.

Good and upright is Yahweh, therefore he will instruct sinners in the way.He will guide the humble in justice. He will teach the humble his way.

There were shepherds in the same country staying in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock.Behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.The angel said to them,“ Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough.”Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army praising God, and saying,“ Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward men.”

He said,“ Now hear my words. If there is a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.
