“ Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.

“ Remember the law my servant Moses gave you. Remember the rules and laws I gave him at Mount Horeb. They were for the whole nation of Israel.

“ Remember the law of my servant Moses, the statutes and rules that I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel.

“ Remember to obey the Law of Moses, my servant— all the decrees and regulations that I gave him on Mount Sinai for all Israel.

“ Remember the instruction of Moses my servant, the statutes and ordinances I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel.

“ Remember the Law of Moses My servant, the statutes and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel.

Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances.

“ Remember the instruction of Moses My servant, the statutes and ordinances I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel.

especially concerning the day you stood before the Lord your God in Horeb, when the Lord said to me,‘ Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’

And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.For He who said,“ Do not commit adultery,” also said,“ Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this:“ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

“ You shall have no other gods before Me.“ You shall not make for yourself a carved image— any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.“ You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.“ Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.Six days you shall labor and do all your work,but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.“ Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.“ You shall not murder.“ You shall not commit adultery.“ You shall not steal.“ You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.“ You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.Then they said to Moses,“ You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”And Moses said to the people,“ Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.”So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.

“ Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake.For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing.Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.For the commandments,“ You shall not commit adultery,”“ You shall not murder,”“ You shall not steal,”“ You shall not bear false witness,”“ You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely,“ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Abraham said to him,‘ They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’And he said,‘ No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’But he said to him,‘ If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

“ Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them:If you buy a Hebrew servant, he shall serve six years; and in the seventh he shall go out free and pay nothing.If he comes in by himself, he shall go out by himself; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him.If his master has given him a wife, and she has borne him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself.But if the servant plainly says,‘ I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,’then his master shall bring him to the judges. He shall also bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.“ And if a man sells his daughter to be a female slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do.If she does not please her master, who has betrothed her to himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has dealt deceitfully with her.And if he has betrothed her to his son, he shall deal with her according to the custom of daughters.If he takes another wife, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, and her marriage rights.And if he does not do these three for her, then she shall go out free, without paying money.“ He who strikes a man so that he dies shall surely be put to death.However, if he did not lie in wait, but God delivered him into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place where he may flee.“ But if a man acts with premeditation against his neighbor, to kill him by treachery, you shall take him from My altar, that he may die.“ And he who strikes his father or his mother shall surely be put to death.“ He who kidnaps a man and sells him, or if he is found in his hand, shall surely be put to death.“ And he who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death.“ If men contend with each other, and one strikes the other with a stone or with his fist, and he does not die but is confined to his bed,if he rises again and walks about outside with his staff, then he who struck him shall be acquitted. He shall only pay for the loss of his time, and shall provide for him to be thoroughly healed.“ And if a man beats his male or female servant with a rod, so that he dies under his hand, he shall surely be punished.Notwithstanding, if he remains alive a day or two, he shall not be punished; for he is his property.“ If men fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that she gives birth prematurely, yet no harm follows, he shall surely be punished accordingly as the woman’s husband imposes on him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life,

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying,“ Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”He said to him,“ What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?”So he answered and said,“‘ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and‘ your neighbor as yourself.’”And He said to him,“ You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”

Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him,“ Which is the first commandment of all?”Jesus answered him,“ The first of all the commandments is:‘ Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.And the second, like it, is this:‘ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”So the scribe said to Him,“ Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He.And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him,“ You are not far from the kingdom of God.” But after that no one dared question Him.

“ Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”Jesus said to him,“‘ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’This is the first and great commandment.And the second is like it:‘ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

The Lord is well pleased for His righteousness’ sake; He will exalt the law and make it honorable.

Now behold, one came and said to Him,“ Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”So He said to him,“ Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”He said to Him,“ Which ones?” Jesus said,“‘ You shall not murder,’‘ You shall not commit adultery,’‘ You shall not steal,’‘ You shall not bear false witness,’‘ Honor your father and your mother,’ and,‘ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”The young man said to Him,“ All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?”Jesus said to him,“ If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.“ I do not receive honor from men.But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you— Moses, in whom you trust.For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

Now the Lord called to Moses, and spoke to him from the tabernacle of meeting, saying,“ Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them:‘ When any one of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of the livestock— of the herd and of the flock.‘ If his offering is a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it of his own free will at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the Lord.Then he shall put his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him.He shall kill the bull before the Lord; and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall bring the blood and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of meeting.And he shall skin the burnt offering and cut it into its pieces.The sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar, and lay the wood in order on the fire.

He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel.He has not dealt thus with any nation; And as for His judgments, they have not known them. Praise the Lord!

“ Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess.Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say,‘ surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’
