“ Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.

“ Remember the law my servant Moses gave you. Remember the rules and laws I gave him at Mount Horeb. They were for the whole nation of Israel.

“ Remember the law of my servant Moses, the statutes and rules that I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel.

“ Remember to obey the Law of Moses, my servant— all the decrees and regulations that I gave him on Mount Sinai for all Israel.

“ Remember the instruction of Moses my servant, the statutes and ordinances I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel.

[ Specially] the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and[ that] they may teach their children.

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one[ point], he is guilty of all.For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only[ use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.For all the law is fulfilled in one word,[ even] in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness[ of any thing] that[ is] in heaven above, or that[ is] in the earth beneath, or that[ is] in the water under the earth:Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God[ am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth[ generation] of them that hate me;And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:But the seventh day[ is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God:[ in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that[ is] within thy gates:For[ in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them[ is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.Thou shalt not kill.Thou shalt not commit adultery.Thou shalt not steal.Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that[ is] thy neighbour’s.And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw[ it], they removed, and stood afar off.And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God[ was].

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach[ them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed[ the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to[ execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil.Wherefore[ ye] must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute[ is due]; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if[ there be] any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love[ is] the fulfilling of the law.

Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Now these[ are] the judgments which thou shalt set before them.If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself.And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.If he take him another[ wife]; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money.He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver[ him] into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.And if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with[ his] fist, and he die not, but keepeth[ his] bed:If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote[ him] be quit: only he shall pay[ for] the loss of his time, and shall cause[ him] to be thoroughly healed.And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he[ is] his money.If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart[ from her], and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges[ determine].And if[ any] mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,

And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments[ is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this[ is] the first commandment.And the second[ is] like,[ namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love[ his] neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him[ any question].

Master, which[ is] the great commandment in the law?Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.This is the first and great commandment.And the second[ is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make[ it] honourable.

And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good?[ there is] none good but one,[ that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,Honour thy father and[ thy] mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go[ and] sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come[ and] follow me.But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word,[ it is] because[ there is] no light in them.

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.I receive not honour from men.But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that[ cometh] from God only?Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is[ one] that accuseth you,[ even] Moses, in whom ye trust.For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle,[ even] of the herd, and of the flock.If his offering[ be] a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that[ is by] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces.And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:

He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.He hath not dealt so with any nation: and[ as for his] judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.Keep therefore and do[ them]; for this[ is] your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation[ is] a wise and understanding people.
