“ Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.

萬有之主耶和華曰、我必涖臨、降災於爾、凡巫覡行淫之子、妄誓之輩、奪傭人之值、虐遇孤寡、使賓旅不得伸其枉屈、而不敬畏我者、必速降以罰。

萬有之主曰、我必涖臨爾曹、施行審鞫、必速譴責、必速譴責原文作必亟為證以攻凡有邪術者、犯姦淫者、發假誓者、負負或作奪傭人值者、虐遇孤寡者、屈枉客旅而不敬畏我者、

“ So I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me,” says the Lord Almighty.

“ So I will come and put you on trial. I will be quick to bring charges against all of you,” says the Lord who rules over all.“ I will bring charges against you sinful people who do not have any respect for me. That includes those who practice evil magic. It includes those who commit adultery and those who tell lies in court. It includes those who cheat workers out of their pay. It includes those who treat widows badly. It also includes those who mistreat children whose fathers have died. And it includes those who take away the rights of outsiders in the courts.

“ At that time I will put you on trial. I am eager to witness against all sorcerers and adulterers and liars. I will speak against those who cheat employees of their wages, who oppress widows and orphans, or who deprive the foreigners living among you of justice, for these people do not fear me,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

“ I will come to you in judgment, and I will be ready to witness against sorcerers and adulterers; against those who swear falsely; against those who oppress the hired worker, the widow, and the fatherless; and against those who deny justice to the resident alien. They do not fear me,” says the LORD of Armies.

“ Then I will come near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, those who oppress the wage earner in his wages or the widow or the orphan, and those who turn away the stranger from justice and do not fear Me,” says the Lord of armies.

And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, Against adulterers, Against perjurers, Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, And against those who turn away an alien— Because they do not fear Me,” Says the Lord of hosts.

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the sojourner from his right, and fear not me, saith Jehovah of hosts.

“ I will come to you in judgment, and I will be ready to witness against sorcerers and adulterers; against those who swear falsely; against those who oppress the widow and the fatherless, and cheat the wage earner; and against those who deny justice to the foreigner. They do not fear Me,” says the Lord of Hosts.

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in[ his] wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger[ from his right], and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

“ I will come to you in judgment. I will be quick to testify against those who practice divination, those who commit adultery, those who break promises, and those who exploit workers, widows, and orphans, who refuse to help the immigrant and in this way show they do not fear me,” says the LORD who rules over all.

I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the perjurers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and don’t fear me,” says Yahweh of Armies.

You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door.

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

“‘ You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

“ You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired worker shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.

“‘ Cursed be anyone who perverts the justice due to the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’

“ You shall not pervert the justice due to the sojourner or to the fatherless, or take a widow’s garment in pledge,

“‘ You shall not murder.“‘ And you shall not commit adultery.“‘ And you shall not steal.“‘ And you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.“‘ And you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. And you shall not desire your neighbor’s house, his field, or his male servant, or his female servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.’

And why not do evil that good may come?— as some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is just.

But you say,“ Why does he not?” Because the Lord was witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.

because they have done an outrageous thing in Israel, they have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives, and they have spoken in my name lying words that I did not command them. I am the one who knows, and I am witness, declares the Lord.’”

It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying,“ Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones,to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

On the third day Joseph said to them,“ Do this and you will live, for I fear God:

“ If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions,envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

You have wearied the Lord with your words. But you say,“ How have we wearied him?” By saying,“ Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delights in them.” Or by asking,“ Where is the God of justice?”

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Then he said to me,“ This is the curse that goes out over the face of the whole land. For everyone who steals shall be cleaned out according to what is on one side, and everyone who swears falsely shall be cleaned out according to what is on the other side.I will send it out, declares the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter the house of the thief, and the house of him who swears falsely by my name. And it shall remain in his house and consume it, both timber and stones.”

Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes.

For we know him who said,“ Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again,“ The Lord will judge his people.”It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the Lord one turns away from evil.

Hear, O my people, while I admonish you! O Israel, if you would but listen to me!

But the other rebuked him, saying,“ Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?

But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your“ yes” be yes and your“ no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.

“ Behold, the princes of Israel in you, every one according to his power, have been bent on shedding blood.Father and mother are treated with contempt in you; the sojourner suffers extortion in your midst; the fatherless and the widow are wronged in you.You have despised my holy things and profaned my Sabbaths.There are men in you who slander to shed blood, and people in you who eat on the mountains; they commit lewdness in your midst.In you men uncover their fathers’ nakedness; in you they violate women who are unclean in their menstrual impurity.One commits abomination with his neighbor’s wife; another lewdly defiles his daughter-in-law; another in you violates his sister, his father’s daughter.In you they take bribes to shed blood; you take interest and profit and make gain of your neighbors by extortion; but me you have forgotten, declares the Lord God.

before the Lord, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness.

The former governors who were before me laid heavy burdens on the people and took from them for their daily ration forty shekels of silver. Even their servants lorded it over the people. But I did not do so, because of the fear of God.

But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live.

Hear, you peoples, all of you; pay attention, O earth, and all that is in it, and let the Lord God be a witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

“ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in.

Abraham said,“ I did it because I thought,‘ There is no fear of God at all in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.’

“ A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”

before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

“ If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you.

Do not move an ancient landmark or enter the fields of the fatherless,for their Redeemer is strong; he will plead their cause against you.

“ You shall not wrong a sojourner or oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child.If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry,and my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.

Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens.

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

Our God comes; he does not keep silence; before him is a devouring fire, around him a mighty tempest.He calls to the heavens above and to the earth, that he may judge his people:“ Gather to me my faithful ones, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice!”The heavens declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge! Selah“ Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you. I am God, your God.

“ Therefore, thus says the Lord God to them: Behold, I, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.Because you push with side and shoulder, and thrust at all the weak with your horns, till you have scattered them abroad,I will rescue my flock; they shall no longer be a prey. And I will judge between sheep and sheep.

Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, make offerings to Baal, and go after other gods that you have not known,and then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say,‘ We are delivered!’— only to go on doing all these abominations?

“ You shall not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the sojourners who are in your land within your towns.You shall give him his wages on the same day, before the sun sets( for he is poor and counts on it), lest he cry against you to the Lord, and you be guilty of sin.

“ Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness, and his upper rooms by injustice, who makes his neighbor serve him for nothing and does not give him his wages,who says,‘ I will build myself a great house with spacious upper rooms,’ who cuts out windows for it, paneling it with cedar and painting it with vermilion.Do you think you are a king because you compete in cedar? Did not your father eat and drink and do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well. Is not this to know me? declares the Lord.But you have eyes and heart only for your dishonest gain, for shedding innocent blood, and for practicing oppression and violence.”

Do not rob the poor, because he is poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate,for the Lord will plead their cause and rob of life those who rob them.
