You have said,‘ It is useless to serve God. How have we been helped by keeping his requirements and going about like mourners before the LORD who rules over all?So now we consider the arrogant to be happy; indeed, those who practice evil are successful. In fact, those who challenge God escape!’”

And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

If anyone wants to serve me, he must follow me, and where I am, my servant will be too. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed!He will reward each one according to his works:

For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve came to me

He gave orders to heat the furnace seven times hotter than it was normally heated.He ordered strong soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and to throw them into the furnace of blazing fire.So those men were tied up while still wearing their cloaks, trousers, turbans, and other clothes, and were thrown into the furnace of blazing fire.But since the king’s command was so urgent, and the furnace was so excessively hot, the men who escorted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were killed by the leaping flames.But those three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell into the furnace of blazing fire while still securely bound.Then King Nebuchadnezzar was startled and quickly got up. He said to his ministers,“ Wasn’t it three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?” They replied to the king,“ For sure, O king.”He answered,“ But I see four men, untied and walking around in the midst of the fire! No harm has come to them! And the appearance of the fourth is like that of a god!”Then Nebuchadnezzar approached the door of the furnace of blazing fire. He called out,“ Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the most high God, come out! Come here!” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego emerged from the fire.

Relent, let there be no falsehood; reconsider, for my righteousness is intact!

“ At that time Michael, the great prince who watches over your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress unlike any other from the nation’s beginning up to that time. But at that time your own people, all those whose names are found written in the book, will escape.Many of those who sleep in the dusty ground will awake– some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence.But the wise will shine like the brightness of the heavenly expanse. And those bringing many to righteousness will be like the stars forever and ever.

But have my words and statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, not outlived your fathers? Then they paid attention and confessed,‘ The LORD who rules over all has indeed done what he said he would do to us, because of our sinful ways.’”

Who knows? Perhaps he will be compassionate and grant a reprieve, and leave blessing in his wake– a meal offering and a drink offering for you to offer to the LORD your God!

Tell the innocent it will go well with them, for they will be rewarded for what they have done.Too bad for the wicked sinners! For they will get exactly what they deserve.
