Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard[ it], and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name.

Those who had respect for the Lord talked with one another. And the Lord heard them. A list of people and what they did was written in a book in front of him. It included the names of those who respected the Lord and honored him.

Then those who feared the Lord spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the Lord and esteemed his name.

Then those who feared the Lord spoke with each other, and the Lord listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name.

At that time those who feared the LORD spoke to one another. The LORD took notice and listened. So a book of remembrance was written before him for those who feared the LORD and had high regard for his name.

Then those who respected the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD took notice. A scroll was prepared before him in which were recorded the names of those who respected the LORD and honored his name.

Then those who feared Yahweh spoke one with another; and Yahweh listened, and heard, and a book of memory was written before him, for those who feared Yahweh, and who honored his name.

Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle:[ are they] not in thy book?

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is[ the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for[ thou] only[ art] holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in[ his] wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger[ from his right], and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.

And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.

Then called Esther for Hatach,[ one] of the king’s chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it[ was], and why it[ was].So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which[ was] before the king’s gate.And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king’s treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew[ it] unto Esther, and to declare[ it] unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called,[ there is] one law of his to put[ him] to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.And they told to Mordecai Esther’s words.Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews.For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time,[ then] shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for[ such] a time as this?Then Esther bade[ them] return Mordecai[ this answer],Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which[ is] not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.

And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou[ art] God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any[ of them] that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

[ A] devout[ man], and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

The eyes of the LORD[ are] upon the righteous, and his ears[ are open] unto their cry.

If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend[ against] the generation of thy children.When I thought to know this, it[ was] too painful for me;Until I went into the sanctuary of God;[ then] understood I their end.

Thou wilt keep[ him] in perfect peace,[ whose] mind[ is] stayed[ on thee]: because he trusteth in thee.

And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek[ after God]: God[ is] not in all his thoughts.

[ But] to the saints that[ are] in the earth, and[ to] the excellent, in whom[ is] all my delight.

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

Come[ and] hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!For I know[ that] my redeemer liveth, and[ that] he shall stand at the latter[ day] upon the earth:

And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king.

One of the two which heard John[ speak], and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

I[ am] a companion of all[ them] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise[ men] of Babylon.

For the word of God[ is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and[ is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things[ are] naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James[ the son] of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas[ the brother] of James.

For[ there is] not a word in my tongue,[ but], lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that[ is] wisdom; and to depart from evil[ is] understanding.

And Jonathan Saul’s son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth.And they two made a covenant before the LORD: and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went to his house.

Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of[ our] soul[ is] to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.

He that walketh with wise[ men] shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

Behold, the eye of the LORD[ is] upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

Behold,[ it is] written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,

Some[ trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Who[ is] among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh[ in] darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.

And they talked together of all these things which had happened.And it came to pass, that, while they communed[ together] and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.And he said unto them, What manner of communications[ are] these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found[ it] even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed[ it], and brake, and gave to them.And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

And it shall come to pass,[ as soon as] I am gone from thee, that the Spirit of the LORD shall carry thee whither I know not; and[ so] when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall slay me: but I thy servant fear the LORD from my youth.

A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

The fear of the LORD[ is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do[ his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.Praise ye the LORD. Blessed[ is] the man[ that] feareth the LORD,[ that] delighteth greatly in his commandments.

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble[ you], and thereby many be defiled;

And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only[ son] from me.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all[ men].

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

And Ahab called Obadiah, which[ was] the governor of[ his] house.( Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly:
