At that time those who feared the LORD spoke to one another. The LORD took notice and listened. So a book of remembrance was written before him for those who feared the LORD and had high regard for his name.

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard[ it], and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Then those who respected the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD took notice. A scroll was prepared before him in which were recorded the names of those who respected the LORD and honored his name.

Then those who feared Yahweh spoke one with another; and Yahweh listened, and heard, and a book of memory was written before him, for those who feared Yahweh, and who honored his name.

You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.

But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.

Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

“ Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.

So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.

The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil.I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak,for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

And the Lord said to him,“ Pass through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in it.”

Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

But as for me, I have not been called to come in to the king these thirty days.”And they told Mordecai what Esther had said.Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther,“ Do not think to yourself that in the king’s palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews.For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai,“ Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.”Mordecai then went away and did everything as Esther had ordered him.

When they were released, they went to their friends and reported what the chief priests and the elders had said to them.And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said,“ Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them,who through the mouth of our father David, your servant, said by the Holy Spirit,“‘ Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples plot in vain?The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together, against the Lord and against his Anointed’—for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place.And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness,while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common.And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.

a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God.

The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.

addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,

but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.

In the path of your judgments, O Lord, we wait for you; your name and remembrance are the desire of our soul.

And as soon as I have gone from you, the Spirit of the Lord will carry you I know not where. And so, when I come and tell Ahab and he cannot find you, he will kill me, although I your servant have feared the Lord from my youth.

A stream of fire issued and came out from before him; a thousand thousands served him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the court sat in judgment, and the books were opened.
