耶和華以色列的神說：“我恨惡休妻和以強暴待妻子。”萬軍之耶和華說：“所以要謹守你們的靈性，不可行詭詐的事。”

耶和華以色列的神說：「我實在恨惡休妻的事，也恨惡那用殘暴遮蓋自己衣袍的人！」萬軍之耶和華說：「你們當謹守自己的心靈，不可背信。」

“ The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the Lord, the God of Israel,“ does violence to the one he should protect,” says the Lord Almighty. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful.

“ Suppose a man hates and divorces his wife,” says the Lord God of Israel.“ Then he is harming the one he should protect,” says the Lord who rules over all. So be careful. And don’t be unfaithful.

“ For the man who does not love his wife but divorces her, says the Lord, the God of Israel, covers his garment with violence, says the Lord of hosts. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and do not be faithless.”

“ For I hate divorce!” says the Lord, the God of Israel.“ To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.“ So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.”

“ If he hates and divorces his wife,” says the LORD God of Israel,“ he covers his garment with injustice,” says the LORD of Armies. Therefore, watch yourselves carefully, and do not act treacherously.

“ For I hate divorce,” says the Lord, the God of Israel,“ and him who covers his garment with violence,” says the Lord of armies.“ So be careful about your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.”

“ For the Lord God of Israel says That He hates divorce, For it covers one’s garment with violence,” Says the Lord of hosts.“ Therefore take heed to your spirit, That you do not deal treacherously.”

For I hate putting away, saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, and him that covereth his garment with violence, saith Jehovah of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for[ one] covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

“ I hate divorce,” says the LORD God of Israel,“ and the one who is guilty of violence,” says the LORD who rules over all.“ Pay attention to your conscience, and do not be unfaithful.”

One who hates and divorces”, says Yahweh, the God of Israel,“ covers his garment with violence!” says Yahweh of Armies.“ Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don’t be unfaithful.

凡休妻另娶的，就犯了姦淫；娶被丈夫所休的，也是犯了姦淫。

“又有這樣的吩咐：‘人若休妻，就應當給她休書。’可是我告訴你們，凡休妻的，如果不是因她不貞，就是促使她犯姦淫；無論誰娶了被休的婦人，也就是犯姦淫了。

法利賽人前來試探耶穌，說：“人根據某些理由休妻，可以嗎？”他回答：“造物者從起初‘造人的時候，就造男造女’。‘因此人要離開父母，與妻子連合，二人成為一體。’這些話你們沒有念過嗎？

有法利賽人前來試探耶穌，問他：“丈夫可以休妻嗎？耶穌回答：“摩西吩咐你們的是甚麼呢？”他們說：“摩西准許‘人寫了休書就可以休妻’。”耶穌說：“因為你們的心硬，摩西才寫這條例給你們。但從起初創造的時候，神是‘造男造女’。‘因此人要離開父母，與妻子連合，二人成為一體了。’這樣，他們不再是兩個人，而是一體的了。所以神所配合的，人不可分開。”回到屋子裡，門徒再提起這件事來問他。他對他們說：“誰休妻另娶，誰就是犯姦淫，得罪了妻子。如果妻子棄夫另嫁，也是犯了姦淫。”

耶和華這樣說：“我離棄了你們的母親，休書在哪裡呢？或者我的債主中，哪一個是我把你們賣了給他的呢？看哪！你們被賣是因你們的罪孽；你們的母親被離棄是因你們的過犯。

遮掩自己過犯的，必不亨通；承認並離棄過犯的，必蒙憐憫。

他們的網，不能作衣服，他們所作的，也不能遮蓋自己；他們所作的是罪孽的作為，他們的手裡滿是強暴的行為。

“人娶了妻子，得著她以後，如果發現她有醜事，以致不喜悅她，他就可以給她寫休書，交在她手裡，叫她離開夫家；她離開夫家以後，就可以去再嫁別人。如果後夫又恨她，也給她寫休書，交在她手裡，叫她離開他的家；或者娶她為妻的後夫死了；那麼，叫她離開的前夫，不可在她受了污辱以後，再娶她為妻，因為這在耶和華面前是可厭可惡的事；你不可使耶和華你的神賜給你作產業的土地蒙受罪污。

虔敬的人從地上滅絕了，人間也沒有正直的人，人人都埋伏著要流人的血，各人都用網羅獵取自己的兄弟。他們雙手善於作惡，官長和審判官都要求報酬；達官貴人說出心裡的慾望；他們歪曲了一切。

床鋪太短，人就不能伸直，被窩太窄，就蓋不住全身。
