我復思天下之秉鈞者、虐遇民人、民罹其酷、靡不墮淚、慰藉無人。

在示羅飲食既畢、哈拿興、祭司以利在耶和華室、坐於橛旁。哈拿衷懷憂戚、哭禱耶和華、

彼禁食籲我、我必不應、彼獻燔祭禮物、我不悅納、必以鋒刃、饑饉疾疫、滅之務盡。

今裂之、蒙灰於首、按手其上、且行且哭。其兄押沙龍問曰、爾兄暗嫩嘗與爾偕乎。我妹勿語、毋以為意、彼乃爾兄。於是大馬在兄押沙龍家獨處。

耶和華曰、恆獻禮物、與我何與、爾燔牡綿羊、焚肥畜之膋、我所厭惡、牛犢羔羊、牡山羊之血、我不悅懌。爾來覲我、穢我帷場、誰命之者。毋徒獻禮物、若馨香、月朔、安息日、聖會大日、俱我所厭棄、爾守節期、又復為惡、故我不悅。朔日節期、我心痛疾、我視若重負而厭之。爾曹殺人、雖舉手禱告弗輟、我必不俯聞、而遐棄爾。

惡人之祭、為耶和華所疾、善人之祈、為主所悅。

香品攜自示巴、菖蒲得自遠方、獻我曷故。爾之燔祭禮物、我不悅納。

勿惡念是懷、謂七年當釋之期伊邇、遂睚眦同儕之貧乏者、無有所予、其呼籲耶和華、罪歸於爾、

惡人之祭且不納、況以詭譎之心獻禮物乎。
