And this is another thing you do: you cover the altar of the Lord with tears, with weeping and sighing, because He no longer gives attention to the offering or accepts it with favor from your hand.

And this is the second thing you do: You cover the altar of the Lord with tears, With weeping and crying; So He does not regard the offering anymore, Nor receive it with goodwill from your hands.

And this again ye do: ye cover the altar of Jehovah with tears, with weeping, and with sighing, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, neither receiveth it with good will at your hand.

尼希米省長、以斯拉祭司文士，和教導百姓的利未人對眾百姓說：「今日是耶和華－你們神的聖日，不要悲哀，也不要哭泣。」這是因為眾百姓聽見律法書上的話都哭了。尼希米對他們說：「你們去吃肥美的，喝甘甜的，有不能預備的就分給他，因為今日是我們主的聖日。你們不要憂愁，因靠耶和華而得的喜樂是你們的力量。」於是利未人叫眾百姓安靜，說：「安靜，因今日是聖日，不要憂愁。」眾百姓去吃喝，也分給別人，都大大喜樂，因為他們明白所教導他們的話。

他們禁食的時候，我不聽他們的呼求；他們獻燔祭和素祭，我也不悅納。我卻要用刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫滅絕他們。」

她瑪把灰塵撒在頭上，撕裂所穿的彩衣，以手抱頭，一面走一面哭喊。她胞兄押沙龍對她說：「你哥哥暗嫩與你親近了嗎？妹妹，現在暫且不要作聲，他是你的哥哥，不要把這事放在心上。」她瑪就孤孤單單地住在她胞兄押沙龍的家裏。

耶和華說：「你們許多的祭物於我何益呢？公綿羊的燔祭和肥畜的油脂，我已經膩煩了；公牛、羔羊、公山羊的血，我都不喜悅。「你們來朝見我，誰向你們的手要求這些，使你們踐踏我的院宇呢？不要再獻無謂的供物了，香是我所憎惡的。我不能容忍行惡又守嚴肅會：初一、安息日和召集的大會。你們的初一和節期，我心裏恨惡，它們成了我的重擔，擔當這些，令我厭煩。你們舉手禱告，我必遮眼不看，就算你們多多祈禱，我也不聽；你們的手沾滿了血。

惡人獻祭，為耶和華所憎惡；正直人祈禱，為他所喜悅。

從示巴來的乳香，從遠方出的香菖蒲，奉來給我有何用呢？你們的燔祭不蒙悅納；你們的祭物，我也不喜悅。」

你要謹慎，不可心起惡念，說：『第七年的豁免年快到了』，你就冷眼看你貧窮的弟兄，甚麼都不給他。他若為你的緣故求告耶和華，你就有罪了。

惡人獻的祭是可憎的，何況他存惡意來獻呢？
