As for the man who does this, whoever he may be, may the Lord remove him from the tents of Jacob— even though he brings an offering to the Lord Almighty.

May the Lord punish the man who marries a woman like this. It doesn’t matter who that man is. May the Lord who rules over all remove him from the tents of Jacob’s people. May the Lord remove him even if he brings an offering to him.

So the Lord will cut off from Israel both head and tail, both palm branch and reed in a single day;the elders and dignitaries are the head, the prophets who teach lies are the tail.Those who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray. (niv)
