“ And now plead for God’s favor. Will he be gracious to us? Since this has come from your hands, will he show any of you favor?” asks the LORD of Armies.

萬軍之耶和華曰、爾既行此、試求上帝施恩、使加矜憫、彼豈納爾中一人乎、

萬有之主耶和華曰、獻此薄祭、繫爾之故、今雖呼籲於上、望我矜憫、我豈以爾為悅、

萬有之主曰、由爾手獻若是之祭、主豈悅納乎、今當籲禱天主、庶幾施恩於我儕、

“ Now plead with God to be gracious to us. With such offerings from your hands, will he accept you?”— says the Lord Almighty.

“ Now plead with God to be gracious to us! But as long as you give offerings like those, how can he accept you?” says the Lord.

And now entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With such a gift from your hand, will he show favor to any of you? says the Lord of hosts.

“ Go ahead, beg God to be merciful to you! But when you bring that kind of offering, why should he show you any favor at all?” asks the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

“ But now, do indeed plead for God’s favor, so that He will be gracious to us. With such an offering on your part, will He receive any of you kindly?” says the Lord of armies.

“ But now entreat God’s favor, That He may be gracious to us. While this is being done by your hands, Will He accept you favorably?” Says the Lord of hosts.

And now, I pray you, entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he accept any of your persons? saith Jehovah of hosts.

“ And now ask for God’s favor. Will He be gracious to us? Since this has come from your hands, will He show any of you favor?” asks the Lord of Hosts.

And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts.

But now plead for God’s favor that he might be gracious to us.“ With this kind of offering in your hands, how can he be pleased with you?” asks the LORD who rules over all.

“ Now, please entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With this, will he accept any of you?” says Yahweh of Armies.

If they are indeed prophets and if the word of the LORD is with them, let them intercede with the LORD of Armies not to let the articles that remain in the LORD’s temple, in the palace of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem go to Babylon.’

Then the priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and God heard them, and their prayer came into his holy dwelling place in heaven.

Did King Hezekiah of Judah and all the people of Judah put him to death? Did not the king fear the LORD and plead for the LORD’s favor, and did not the LORD relent concerning the disaster he had pronounced against them? We are about to bring a terrible disaster on ourselves!”

We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is God-fearing and does his will, he listens to him.

Then he showed me the high priest Joshua standing before the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.The LORD said to Satan,“ The LORD rebuke you, Satan! May the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”Now Joshua was dressed with filthy clothes as he stood before the angel.So the angel of the LORD spoke to those standing before him,“ Take off his filthy clothes!” Then he said to him,“ See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with festive robes.”Then I said,“ Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So a clean turban was placed on his head, and they clothed him in garments while the angel of the LORD was standing nearby.

Dress in sackcloth and lament, you priests; wail, you ministers of the altar. Come and spend the night in sackcloth, you ministers of my God, because grain and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.Announce a sacred fast; proclaim a solemn assembly! Gather the elders and all the residents of the land at the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.

For there is no favoritism with God.

But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God:“ LORD, why does your anger burn against your people you brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and a strong hand?

If you appeal to the Father who judges impartially according to each one’s work, you are to conduct yourselves in reverence during your time living as strangers.

Arise, cry out in the night from the first watch of the night. Pour out your heart like water before the Lord’s presence. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children who are fainting from hunger at the head of every street.

Let the priests, the LORD’s ministers, weep between the portico and the altar. Let them say,“ Have pity on your people, LORD, and do not make your inheritance a disgrace, an object of scorn among the nations. Why should it be said among the peoples,‘ Where is their God?’”

For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.He doesn’t need to offer sacrifices every day, as high priests do— first for their own sins, then for those of the people. He did this once for all time when he offered himself.

The evil spirit answered them,“ I know Jesus, and I recognize Paul— but who are you?”Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them, overpowered them all, and prevailed against them, so that they ran out of that house naked and wounded.
