譎者許願、羣中原有牡牲、乃以殘廢之牲獻主、其人可詛、我乃大君、我名在列邦中為可畏、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、

萬有之主耶和華曰、我乃大君、列邦之人、必尊我名、浸假有偽善之人、群中尚有純全之牡羊、乃取其體不全者、獻我為祭、以輸其願、禍必不遠矣。

人若詐偽、群中有純全之牡牲、乃用有殘疾有殘疾或作體不全之牡畜、立願獻於主、斯人可詛、萬有之主曰、我乃至大之君、我名為列邦人所敬畏、

“ Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king,” says the Lord Almighty,“ and my name is to be feared among the nations.

“ Suppose you have a male sheep or goat that does not have any flaws. And you promise to offer it to me. But then you sacrifice an animal that has flaws. When you do that, you cheat me. And anyone who cheats me is under my curse. After all, I am a great king,” says the Lord who rules over all.“ The other nations have respect for my name. So why don’t you respect it?

“ But cursed be the swindler who has a male in his flock and vows it, but sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord, for I am a great King,” says the Lord of armies,“ and My name is feared among the nations.”

“ But cursed be the deceiver Who has in his flock a male, And takes a vow, But sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished— For I am a great King,” Says the Lord of hosts,“ And My name is to be feared among the nations.

The LORD will then be king over all the earth. In that day the LORD will be seen as one with a single name.

For the sovereign LORD is awe-inspiring; he is the great king who rules the whole earth!

– whose appearing the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, will reveal at the right time.

He humbles princes; the kings of the earth regard him as awesome.

Then he sat down opposite the offering box, and watched the crowd putting coins into it. Many rich people were throwing in large amounts.And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, worth less than a penny.He called his disciples and said to them,“ I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the offering box than all the others.For they all gave out of their wealth. When you make a vow to God, do not delay in paying it. For God takes no pleasure in fools: Pay what you vow!It is better for you not to vow than to vow and not pay it.

The LORD is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King. When he shows his anger the earth shakes. None of the nations can stand up to his fury.

And when it was sold, was the money not at your disposal? How have you thought up this deed in your heart? You have not lied to people but to God!”When Ananias heard these words he collapsed and died, and great fear gripped all who heard about it.So the young men came, wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him.After an interval of about three hours, his wife came in, but she did not know what had happened.Peter said to her,“ Tell me, were the two of you paid this amount for the land?” Sapphira said,“ Yes, that much.”Peter then told her,“ Why have you agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look! The feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out!”At once she collapsed at his feet and died. So when the young men came in, they found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.

For this is what the high and exalted one says, the one who rules forever, whose name is holy:“ I dwell in an exalted and holy place, but also with the discouraged and humiliated, in order to cheer up the humiliated and to encourage the discouraged.
