譎者許願、羣中原有牡牲、乃以殘廢之牲獻主、其人可詛、我乃大君、我名在列邦中為可畏、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、

萬有之主耶和華曰、我乃大君、列邦之人、必尊我名、浸假有偽善之人、群中尚有純全之牡羊、乃取其體不全者、獻我為祭、以輸其願、禍必不遠矣。

人若詐偽、群中有純全之牡牲、乃用有殘疾有殘疾或作體不全之牡畜、立願獻於主、斯人可詛、萬有之主曰、我乃至大之君、我名為列邦人所敬畏、

“ Cursed is the cheat who promises to give a fine ram from his flock but then sacrifices a defective one to the Lord. For I am a great king,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies,“ and my name is feared among the nations!

“ But cursed be the swindler who has a male in his flock and vows it, but sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord, for I am a great King,” says the Lord of armies,“ and My name is feared among the nations.”

“ But cursed be the deceiver Who has in his flock a male, And takes a vow, But sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished— For I am a great King,” Says the Lord of hosts,“ And My name is to be feared among the nations.

But cursed[ be] the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I[ am] a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name[ is] dreadful among the heathen.

“ There will be harsh condemnation for the hypocrite who has a valuable male animal in his flock but vows and sacrifices something inferior to the Lord. For I am a great king,” says the LORD who rules over all,“ and my name is awesome among the nations.”

“ But the deceiver is cursed, who has in his flock a male, and vows, and sacrifices to the Lord a defective thing; for I am a great King,” says Yahweh of Armies,“ and my name is awesome among the nations.”

On that day the LORD will become King over the whole earth— the LORD alone, and his name alone.

For the LORD, the Most High, is awe-inspiring, a great King over the whole earth.

God will bring this about in his own time. He is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords,

He humbles the spirit of leaders; he is feared by the kings of the earth.

Sitting across from the temple treasury, he watched how the crowd dropped money into the treasury. Many rich people were putting in large sums.Then a poor widow came and dropped in two tiny coins worth very little.Summoning his disciples, he said to them,“ Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.For they all gave out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had— all she had to live on.”

When you make a vow to God, don’t delay fulfilling it, because he does not delight in fools. Fulfill what you vow.Better that you do not vow than that you vow and not fulfill it.

“ When you present a blind animal for sacrifice, is it not wrong? And when you present a lame or sick animal, is it not wrong? Bring it to your governor! Would he be pleased with you or show you favor?” asks the LORD of Armies.

But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God and eternal King. The earth quakes at his wrath, and the nations cannot endure his fury.

You have not lied to people but to God.”When he heard these words, Ananias dropped dead, and a great fear came on all who heard.The young men got up, wrapped his body, carried him out, and buried him.About three hours later, his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.“ Tell me,” Peter asked her,“ did you sell the land for this price?”“ Yes,” she said,“ for that price.”Then Peter said to her,“ Why did you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”Instantly she dropped dead at his feet. When the young men came in, they found her dead, carried her out, and buried her beside her husband.
