Still another person said,“ I will follow you, Lord. But first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.”

又有一人说：“主，我要跟从你，但容我先去辞别我家里的人。”

又有一人说：“主啊，我要跟从你，但容许我先去辞别我家里的人。”

又有一人说：“主啊，我要跟从你，但容许我先去辞别我家里的人。”

又有一个人说：“主啊！我愿意跟从你，但请让我先回去向家人告别。”

又有一个人说：“主，我要跟从你，但容我先回去，向家人道别。”

另有一个人说：“主啊，我要跟从你，但是请准许我先向我家里的人告别。”

又有一人說：「主，我要跟從你，但容我先去辭別我家裏的人。」

又有一人說：「主啊，我要跟從你，但容許我先去辭別我家裏的人。」

又有一人說：「主啊，我要跟從你，但容許我先去辭別我家裏的人。」

又有一個人說：「主啊！我願意跟從你，但請讓我先回去向家人告別。」

又有一個人說：“主，我要跟從你，但容我先回去，向家人道別。”

又另有一個人說：『主啊，我要跟從你；但是准我先去辭別我家裏的人。』

又一人曰：『吾願從主、第求許我別家人。』

Still another said,“ I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.”

Yet another said,“ I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home.”

Another said,“ Yes, Lord, I will follow you, but first let me say good bye to my family.”

Another said,“ I will follow you, Lord, but first let me go and say good-bye to those at my house.”

Another also said,“ I will follow You, Lord; but first permit me to say goodbye to those at my home.”

And another also said,“ Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.”

And another also said, I will follow thee, Lord; but first suffer me to bid farewell to them that are at my house.

Another also said,“ I will follow You, Lord, but first let me go and say good-bye to those at my house.”

And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

Yet another said,“ I will follow you, Lord, but first let me say goodbye to my family.”

Another also said,“ I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to say good- bye to those who are at my house.”

Then Elisha left his oxen. He ran after Elijah.“ Let me kiss my father and mother goodbye,” he said.“ Then I’ll come with you.”“ Go back,” Elijah replied.“ What have I done to you?”

“ But they all had the same idea. They began to make excuses. The first one said,‘ I have just bought a field. I have to go and see it. Please excuse me.’“ Another said,‘ I have just bought five pairs of oxen. I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’“ Still another said,‘ I just got married, so I can’t come.’

“ Anyone who comes to me must hate their father and mother. They must hate their wife and children. They must hate their brothers and sisters. And they must hate even their own life. Unless they do this, they can’t be my disciple.

“ Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me. Anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.Whoever does not pick up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

Levi didn’t show special favor to anyone. He did not spare his father and mother. He didn’t excuse his relatives or his children. But he watched over your word. He guarded your covenant.

No matter what you do, work at it with all your might. Remember, you are going to the place of the dead. And there isn’t any work or planning or knowledge or wisdom there.
